My son has been struggling with eating meals. breakfast isn’t the biggest struggle because eggs are a go to he will not deny. however when it comes to lunch and dinner he gets very picky. After many attempts with new food. We still have a hard time finishing dinner most nights. It got to a point where bedtime was being cut short because he would wake up hungry in the middle of the night or he wouldnt be full so he would struggle to fall asleep. I have started giving him carnation instant breakfast to help fill his tummy and give him a better nights of rest. He doesnt have it everyday but maybe twice a week. however i fear this will cause heavy weight gain. my sons weight is normal so i dont want to mess with it too much. he is a very active toddler but i still fear he will gain more then he will burn. any opinions? Is carnation milk going to make him overweight?

  • Though Internet strangers may have opinions, we can't tell you if that's the best solution for your child. Ask your doctor for a referral to a dietician. They'll look at his diet as a whole and give you a good plan for getting the nutrition he needs. Sometimes they do recommend something like that, sometimes they don't, but we don't have enough information or the right expertise to say what's right for your child. Good luck!
