Had my first ultrasound today and baby is measuring much smaller than anticipated….according to my period, I’m 8 weeks. However my OB said I’m measuring at around 6 weeks 😩
not only am I annoyed at the thought of having to wait to give birth longer, but I’m also nervous this means something is wrong???
I have another ultrasound scheduled for Friday for a second opinion but has this happened before to anyone?

RE 1: ALL the testing - 'unexplained' "Yinz can do IVF or try on your own"
Feb 2017 - 4th MC: 6 weeks
RE 2: More tests. Still 'unexplained.' Called fat for an entire hour-long appointment, cried a lot
Feb 2019 - 5th MC: 6-7 weeks
IUD - March 2019-March 2023
RE 3: Repeat all the tests. Hoping to try IVF.

She’s literally saying 2 weeks extra is still a good deal compared to many other women. READ IT AGAIN.
This is why people don’t get responses.
But when I went back a week later to see how much it's grown and hopefully excited see a heartbeat, I was devastated to learn that it was still only measuring 5.5 weeks along. My baby hadn't grown at all. Then I was told my uterine lining was thicker than it should be, and that I may be experiencing a molar PG. (meaning, that instead of the cells coming together to form a baby, they possibly form a ball of CANCER.) So I was sent for a D&E, so they could test the tissue to see if it was cancerous or not. Thankfully, it was a standard Missed Miscarriage, and not a Molar Pregnancy. I lucked out BIG time there, in that I only had to call my mom to tell her I was having the abortion procedure to have a MC and could try again in a few months, instead of cancer and radiation treatments and not being able to attempt to conceive again for over a year.
I've had 4 additional miscarriages since then, in a saga that's been going on for over 8 years now, and am hoping to attempt IVF if my doctors would ever get their shyte together.... so yeah, sorry that 'waiting 2 WHOLE more weeks to have a living baby' makes me feel like YOUR comments didn't lead to me feeling like you were welcoming and encouraging my enjoyment of this app.... But if you only knew how privileged you were to be able to say something like that as one of your top concerns... and hopefully you'll never know what the other side is actually like, cause trust me, it sucks balls over here in Statistical-Minority-Land
