First failed FET

sara_nsara_n Just Joined
Hi there,

I have been TTC for 2.5 years now. I have stage 3 endometriosis (had laparoscopy surgery to remove), I have only half a uterus and one fallopian tube (born with one but found out last year!)

I started IVF in January which resulted in 3 frozen embryos (PGT tested). I have recently found out my first FET failed and I am not sure what to do next.

Has anyone had a PGT tested FET which failed? Should I begin blood tests all over again? Not sure whether to go directly in to another FET when feeling this low.

Thanks for listening

Sara

  • Hi Sara, I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. It's not uncommon for individuals facing fertility challenges to feel a range of emotions. Many have experienced setbacks with PGT-tested embryos. Consider discussing the failed FET with your fertility specialist to explore possible reasons and determine the best course of action. It might be beneficial to revisit blood tests or explore alternative options based on your unique situation. Remember, your feelings are valid, and seeking support from your partner or a support group can provide valuable insights and encouragement. Take your time to make decisions that feel right for you, and don't hesitate to lean on your healthcare team for guidance.
