In past BMB it was more successful for us to have a weekday randoms thread M-F and then one for the weekends. As more people join it may help with organization. Let me know what everyone thinks!
Re: Weekend Randoms July 8 & 9
We're going to the grand opening of the new playground structure at the park in our tiny town, and then two towns over to go to Costco/grocery shopping #ruralliving 🫠
We just got a chest freezer, so I'm excited to start filling it up!

Guess today is gonna be an easy one with fuzzy blankets, lemon ginger tea, and random internet videos. Maybe browse Ravelry for more knitting ideas if my brain is up for it.
Yesterday was a pretty typical Saturday for us, spent the morning at synagogue, and then the afternoon trying to convince the kids they could entertain themselves, so that we could rest.
Most Sundays the kids go to my MIL, so I'm spending the morning cleaning, and on some volunteer bookkeeping work I do, and then this afternoon, a Zoom craft group I'm in is having a IRL meet-up at a Chinese restaurant, so super excited about that.
I don't want to crowd the intro thread with conversations, so I'm moving some of my replies here.
@emjeve @k_sims @momlyfe29 so nice to have more 5th time moms here. It's probably that I notice them more, but it always feels like whatever number child I'm on, that's the most common in my BMB, I thought it would be different this time, since 5 is so rare, but there are already 4 of us.
@night_nurse My first two sound like yours. DS1 (7yo) is like an old man in a child's body, and DS2 (5yo) is a wild child. All my children are less than 2 years apart, and love it. This one will actually be my biggest gap, (DD will be almost 3 when this LO arrives) and I'm worried that I'm setting this baby up for a lonely life. Age gaps are so unpredictable and every child reacts differently, but of course we can't help obsessing over them.
@hilaryrose1488 Good luck on keeping it from your 9 yo, I'm in a similar boat with my 7yo he's so perceptive, and picks up on everything. I'm having to be super careful, and off course he loves to read over my shoulder, so no checking TB while he's around.
