  • Weeks:17!!
Baby is the size of a pomegranate
    Team 💚
Upcoming appointments: I had a check-up this morning, saw baby opening and closing its mouth and its little hand next to its face, too surreal!!
My next appointment will be the 20 week anatomy scan, which is a big milestone and I'm looking forward!!
I'm feeling better, but still on B6, which has me crashing a whole lot. I tried to skip the medication and the nausea came back with a vengeance.i hope it will go away soon!
Questions: is anyone else still nauseous??
Is anyone else trying to hide their pregnancy? I'm not showing yet (ftm) and want to keep it to ourselves for at least another month.

    EDD/Weeks + days: 16w2d - 12/9

Baby is the size of a(n): Avocado

Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink: Team Pink

Upcoming appointments: Just had one this morning for bloodwork. The office lost power, so they got to draw blood by flashlight which was...interesting.  Next one is anatomy scan on 7/17 - I can't believe we're there already!

How are you feeling? Pretty good! Heard the heartbeat on the doppler today which was exciting - I don't have many symptoms anymore and don't feel movement yet, so I've had this feeling of "Am I really still pregnant?" lately.

Raves/Rants: Talked to my doctor today about our "babymoon" in August and getting that appointment rescheduled. She was super chill about it and didn't understand why they gave me attitude when I tried to reschedule online.  Definitely made me feel better and more comfortable with taking our trip!

    Questions: None at the moment.

@chelleylin We're not trying to hide it anymore (I've also got a little bump happening - also FTM) but I think if you're still not showing, keep it to yourself as long as you want! We still haven't posted online or anything yet, but our close friends and family all know.
  • @dmcg17 also taking a baby moon in August!! Glad to hear that your doctor was supportive!
  • EDD/Weeks + days: Dec 5 / 17 weeks

Baby is the size of a(n): Pomegranate

    Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink: Team Pink! 💕

Upcoming appointments: July 5th just a prenatal appointment

How are you feeling? Great since I stop throwing up! I have really bad heartburn which was cause projectile vomiting now I’m taking famotidine and I’m fine. I’ve started feeling baby girl kick! It’s real now! Lol

    Raves/Rants: None!

Questions: Anyone else feeling kicks yet?
  • dmcg17dmcg17 member
@sweetleeyah No kicks yet, but my doctor said it should be soon. My mom said it feels like gas bubbles and my good friend said it feels like muscles twitching, so I keep wondering if I'm feeling anything or if it's just my body doing weird things, haha. How would you describe it?
  • EDD/Weeks + days: 16w4d

Baby is the size of a(n): avocado!

Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink: 10 days til we find out!!

Upcoming appointments: 16w appt was yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat! Next up is anatomy scan in 4 weeks🙌🏻

How are you feeling? Nausea is gone but the fatigue seems to have returned. Feeling wiped by 4pm in the workday this week. Trying to roll with it and just listen to my body.

Raves/Rants: officially “announced” on social media yesterday. With a nod to how hard the journey was to get here. Got a few messages saying thank you for acknowledging that - so today I shared a story about our journey- infertility, IVF, miscarriage, failed transfers etc. you don’t realize how many friends are suffering in silence until you talk about it. Sending hugs to other infertility warriors in this group 💗
  • dmcg17dmcg17 member
@dogmom512 We haven’t posted on social media yet (my husband is still trying to get ahold of some family), but I have a draft written to share our story as well. I know the community here, and some friends, were a great help getting through the difficulties and I’m hoping that sharing my story helps others too. Hugs to you also!!
  • EDD/Weeks + days:12/23/23, 14w4d

Baby is the size of a(n): Peach

    Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink: Blue!

Upcoming appointments: July 3rd- ultrasound just to see baby. July 10th, 16 week check up.

How are you feeling? Still so tired...

Raves/Rants: I feel like my stomach hurts 75% of the time, especially at night. It varies from just general soreness to crampy to sharp pains. I'm guessing it's all round ligament pain but it's so annoying. I'm also very over this registry building! There are so many different products and I don't even know where to start. Currently looking for big ticket items- Monitors, car seats, strollers etc.

    Questions: Nope!
  • @dogmom512
We also struggled with infertility! Thank you for sharing your journey. I try to be as open about ours as I can so others feel comfortable sharing as well. It's such a common problem and yet still seems so taboo to talk about.

@chelleylinwe only told close friends and relatives. I told everyone no posts on social media, and to keep the news to themselves. The people that I want to know will know when I am ready, everyone else can find out when the baby is born lol.
  • EDD/Weeks + days: 12/31/2023/ 13w 3d

Baby is the size of a(n): Pokémon Card 😎

    Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink: 💙!!!

Upcoming appointments: Not until 16 W!

How are you feeling? Energy is coming back, praise the LORD! I’ve been MIA since like may? Sorry friends! I have been absolutely insanely busy(3 small kids 5, 3.5, 18 M) plus the nausea and was so tired I could barely function even with extra coffee. PHEW. But I’m back, and I’ll actually be active from now on! 🎉

Raves/Rants: Rave: We found out we’re having our first boy, all girls so far, and we’re so excited! It’s a whole new world and I honestly feel like I’m gonna have no clue what I’m doing 😂
Rant: My kids are sick AGAIN 🫠 Feels like every few weeks at this point. We were never this sick before Covid. Need to boost our immune systems somehow.

Questions:  Anyone else due NYE? I really want to have the baby on that day! Such a fun birthday.
  • EDD/Weeks + days: 17W and 3D

Baby is the size of a(n): Pomegranate

Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink: We aren’t finding out until baby is here!

Upcoming appointments: We have our anatomy scan in 3 weeks!

How are you feeling? Horrible! So much acid reflux. Been taking over the counter antacids per my doctor’s recommendation, but definitely still struggling. Been missing lots of work because of it 😬

  • EDD/Weeks + days: 15 & 1

Baby is the size of a(n): navel orange

    Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink:

Upcoming appointments: next Friday I will get an ultrasound to measure my cervical length. I will have those every two weeks until baby is 24 weeks due to my son being born at 26 weeks. I am SO EXCITED for these ultrasounds. I think it'll make this part of pregnancy go a little faster.

How are you feeling? Still nauseous. Still tired. I'm 37 and I've been through chemotherapy in the last four years, so I'm kinda weak stock. Just happy to be pregnant.

Raves/Rants: I wish the food aversion would go away. I'm hungry all the time but everything turns my stomach still.

    Questions:
DX PCOS + mild male factor
    TTC since Dec. 2015
Current Treatment: Metformin, Provera, Letrozole, Trigger, IUI
Past Treatment: Clomid + Metformin x 3 BFN
Letrozole 5 mg + Trigger shot + IUI = BFP!
    Beta confirmed 8/22
    EDD 5/1/17
  • Same here! I'm 17w5d today and I've felt both muscle twitches and gas bubbles and can't tell if it's baby or just my body adjusting lol
  • EDD/Weeks + days: Dec 21 / 15w1d

Baby is the size of a(n): orange

Team Green/Team Blue/Team Pink: Just found out last week it's a girl! My boys are excited to be getting a sister :)

Upcoming appointments: Check up July 11 and anatomy scan on the 27th.

How are you feeling? Much better! I have an achey feeling in my pelvis a lot of the time, so clearly things are stretching. Still hangry :D

Raves/Rants: We told all close family over the weekend. Mixed reactions but I'm glad not to be hiding it anymore.
My big news is that I am definitely feeling baby move! I felt it at 13 weeks but wasn't sure. Now I feel it every day, typically when I'm lying down trying to fall asleep ;)
I also scored an entire Maxi Cosi travel system/car seat plus a few extras for $130, woot woot. The thing takes up half a room :D

    Questions: None

@dmcg17 For me the movement feels like gas bubbles right along the edge of the uterus. It will eventually feel like little pushes/twitches, but I'm not there yet. If you push on the side of the uterus you'll be more likely to feel it :)

@clt2pwm11 That's a great way to look at it. I had a placental abruption and PPROM at 11 weeks last time, so I also get extra ultrasounds. Trying to enjoy the silver lining and look forward to seeing lots of baby.

    DS#2  due 25 April 2019
  • @dmcg17 when it first started it felt like butterflies in my stomach now it feels like muscle twitches…
  • Question for anyone who has taken or is taking unisom+B6/diclegis:
When you stopped taking it when nausea subsided, did the nausea come back?
Wondering if this is withdrawal and will stop or if I'm super dependent on this medication to prevent incessant vomiting... At almost 18 weeks.
  • @travistori I'm due NYE! Although I'm wondering if he/she will come early because my first came a week early.

Congrats on your first boy! I'm a boy mom, so all I can say is just be prepared for some wildness lol mine loves jumping on beds and couches no matter how many times he falls.
Glad you're feeling better! I've recently come out of the nausea and fatigue fog of the 1st trimester and it's like a whole new world again.
  • @chelleylin I took unisom+b6 and would occasionally try not taking it to see if the nausea had gone away on it's own (never vomited other than brushing my teeth a few times). There was one or two times my nausea would still be there and I'd go back to taking them, then one day I tried without them and it was just gone and so far hasn't come back. If you're still so sick without it, you might just still need it 😔 so sorry you're dealing with that rough side effect and I hope it passes soon!
