Re: Newbie Intros w/o June 26

  • Hi! 👋🏻

Ages (you and SO): we’re both 31

How many months have you been TTC?: almost exactly 1 year now 😩

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: currently getting started to do IVF

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Hi! I’m Meg, was active under the username runningoncookies before i got pregnant with my Sep21 daughter, but changed my username since running isn’t really an identifier for me at the moment. One day! We tried for 13 months to get pregnant with her, and ultimately were successful on our 3rd IUI. 5 IUIs later trying for #2 and we’re making the switch to IVF.

About me: I’m a speech therapist in an elementary school, working primarily with preschoolers with language delays. Last year was a big burnout year for me, and I am VERY happy to be on summer break at the moment. When I’m not working or chasing the toddler, I like to read, work out, garden, bake, and binge watch tv. My husband and I are coming up on 7 years married, which is mind blowing, and we have a cat who we love very much.

As much as I loved this community the first time around, I’ve been putting off re-joining as I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make the time to be an active participant. And every month I was “so sure” that the IUI was going to work. Now that we’re heading into IVF, I am in very uncharted waters and am excited to get to know you guys!
