How are you feeling?
Mostly great! Trying to eat bigger more nutrient dense, filling meals because my blood sugar gets low when I am pregnant and breastfeeding. I hadn’t really thought about it but I almost passed out in Walmart on Friday 💀
Rants / Raves:
Rant: the blood sugar stuff. I’m very active and it’s super annoying lol
Rave: my husband SPOILED me this weekend just because. I felt so loved and appreciated.

Rants / Raves: Raves: I spent the weekend with a group of ladies from my previous BMB, and it was so much fun. I'm so glad so many of us could make it. Rant: I came home from my trip and realized DS2 most likely has HFM. He's got a rash all over his face.

GTKY: What kid's show do you wish you could eliminate so that no mom ever has to sit through it again? I have a few of these lol. Blippi and Dora the Explorer come to mind instantly. We banned Bluey for a while because DS1 picked up some of Bluey's really annoying habits, but we reinstated her a few years ago.
@Kiek I'm so glad you had such a good weekend! I have never seen Mia and Me, but I will make sure we avoid it lol.

How are you feeling? Amazing! Still tired and I think I'm anemic (happens every pregnancy and I definitely have the symptoms). I had my ob draw blood to test my iron levels today, and hopefully they get back to me soon so I can start my iron supplement and hopefully get some of my energy back!

How are you feeling? Ok physically. Although my back is definitely starting to hurt and getting comfortable in bed is a struggle. I'm all over the place emotionally though and I'm so over it.
Rants / Raves: The heat continues. I'm over it. I think this is going on at least week 3 of 105+ degree heat indexes. Also, is it time to send the kids back to school yet?
I got the cleaning bug yesterday. Felt good to do some extra cleaning. I'm actually kind of excited for the nesting stage to really kick in.
Questions: Anyone else having breast tenderness? I always have it at the beginning of pregnancy but I don't remember really having any after the first trimester. But man, rolling over in bed or even sometimes putting on a bra is just painful.
GTKY: What kid's show do you wish you could eliminate so that no mom ever has to sit through it again? It's not even necessarily a kids show but anything where they watch someone play games. All 4 of them like to watch shows where they do walkthroughs of Minecraft and all that stuff. DRIVES ME INSANE!

How are you feeling?
Feeling good. My hip and back went out over the weekend though so that was a fun and painful experience. It happens to me all the time even when not pregnant so I’m not too worried about it. I’m able to get up and walk some now but trying to take it as easy as I can for now.

Not kid shows per say because I don’t mind most of them but a lot of YouTube videos like watching people game or the make believe skits that are just annoying lol. We try to limit those so we don’t have to listen to them that often.

We've been back at our old place this week getting things cleaned/finished here... with a toddler and none of our belongings. Including sleeping on an air mattress with said toddler. That's been not so fun, but tonight should be the last night.

How are you feeling?
I’m feeling good! Feeling huge already at 18 weeks (this is my second pregnancy & they weren’t joking that you get bigger sooner). I’ve felt some quickening and movements, nothing consistent.

Rave: New job is wonderful, my son is getting more excited about the baby, he’s going with us to the anatomy scan. Vacation is in 13 days (who’s counting!?)
Rant: 10 weeks out on disability from my old job, and STILL not a dime of income.

How are you feeling? Meh. Had the anatomy scan last week which went great and everything looks good. That was a big milestone I was holding out for to hopefully feel better about things, and even though it was great news, my PAL brain is still just bogging me down. But physically feeling ok.
Rants / Raves: Rant: DH’s whole family went to a gorgeous Mexican adults only resort this week and I’m salty about it and DH doesn’t get why. His take is there’s no way we would go to MX while I’m pregnant, and they chose a week we’re going out of town to visit my family. I mean, he’s right, it just feels weirdly and unnecessarily exclusionary to take his 2 brothers and their wives on a gorgeous Mexican vacation when we can’t go.
Questions: anyone else have or had an anterior placenta? When did you feel baby consistently? This is my 3rd time with anterior placenta, but the last 2 were totally opposite as far as movement. So far this baby seems to be more in line with my first, but I can’t remember when that started. I’ve definitely felt some twinges, but wondering when it might be more consistent, and I don’t remember from 5 years ago.

Cocomelon is definitely the worst, but I got pretty good at tuning it out and appreciated it for the relative quiet it would give me. But DD has mostly outgrown it, so that’s easier to say now that it’s not in regular rotation. Now DD is really into YouTube kids. So far the Engineering Family is the only channel I’ve outright banned-just so aimless and the music is awful.
@ohsmith @UnwritteN12 where are yall located? I’m in Dallas and uuuuugh it’s so hot. And I always say June is the mild summer month…not sure how we’re going to get through August at this rate!
@knottiee3a565ac10d4d5f7 preeclampsia can start anytime, but usually after 20 weeks. But it’s not like there’s a “clear” zone, like if you don’t have it by X week you’re not going to get it. There’s even postpartum preeclampsia…Is your wife having some concerns? FWIW, I have chronic hypertension, so it’s always been a likely “when” not “if” for me. With both of my previous pregnancies I ended up with mild preeclampsia that started right at 34 weeks, but I have a friend who started showing severe signs at 23 weeks, and another friend who didn’t have it at all until a few days after delivery.

How are you feeling? Eh tired and yucky. I've also had to do iron suppliments my previous pregnancies so I'm expecting to have to start those soon and I'm hoping it gives me more energy. I've also been getting a lot of hot flashes which I've not had in my previous pregnancies. Those suck.

Rant: I'm also down here in the south and getting warnings of "real feel 120 degrees." I just want to leave the house and go on walks. Take the kids to the playground. ANYTHING.
Rave: We just booked tickets to Italy during August and I'm so excited. We used to travel a lot before kids, this will be their first time on a plane (thanks covid) and I'm so exited to show them some fun stuff!

GTKY: What kid's show do you wish you could eliminate so that no mom ever has to sit through it again? Definitely agree with everyone's comments - I hate hate cocomelon. I also dislike Bluey, I felt like my daughter was picking up rude behaviors - but I wouldn't eliminate for other moms it as I know it's so beloved haha. I allow a little bit of Peppa Pig for my daughter, for some reason that one doesn't bother me as much. But Cocomelon is just terrible for everyone.
