HCG levels?

Hello! I had my HCG labs drawn at 6w4d and it was 58,000. My follow up level at 6w6d was 74,000. I had my first ultrasound at 8w3d and I have one healthy little babe with a heart rate of 173. I was wondering if anyone else had 6 week HCG levels this high? I read that high levels could mean genetic abnormalities and was curious everyone else’s levels and experiences.

    I don’t have an answer since I’ve never had my numbers drawn. Are they checking hcg for a reason?

    I know that hcg levels can vary greatly from person to person and day by day. My RE doesn’t check them after 5 weeks because he says they’re not super helpful. I know once I made the switch to my OB they prefer ultrasounds to monitor baby until it’s time for first trimester NIPT. Hope that helps!
