TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. Diagnosis (if you've been): unresponsive uterus, some autoimmune stuff

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): technically benched

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):waiting for a call back to schedule my consultation

How are things going?: The RI's office finally got back to me on Friday! I have been accepted as a patient woohoo! I have to wait for them to get back in touch to schedule my consultation. So happy that stress is over. And I guess since I said I accept their practice policies I need to truly make sure we are not having sex anywhere near my FW. I think he kind of drops you as a patient if you get pregnant before receiving the "green light". I think I read my lexapro can reduce your libido so maybe it's all a good thing haha. But yeah, now it's a bit of a waiting game. Oh the joys of IF!

Any questions?: does anyone know how to build a time machine to make time go by faster?

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend? we had DH's family over on Sunday for dinner, yard games, and a bonfire - which never ended up happening. I guess SIL is on a new medication that's making her a bit of a cranky b*tch and she wanted to leave early. Normally she just is a cranky b*tch though. I wanted to be nosy and ask what it was for but thought better of it.

Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): Natural cycle w/ acupuncture

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): H is doing acupuncture and I’ll be starting next cycle

How are things going?: Going pretty well. Originally we were going to stop trying after this cycle and go back to NTNP and pursuing adoption. But we can’t actually start a home study for adoption for a few months anyway, so I figure I may as well give acupuncture a shot this summer.

Any questions?: Nope

H and I celebrated our anniversary with dinner at a fancy restaurant. Then we also had a big family get-together.

Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): on our own?

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): nada

How are things going?: so this last transfer was a bust. After how much they talked it up, advised us against transferring our two at once, etc, I was not expecting both to not work. So, they’re going? Trying to figure out next steps and things.

Any questions?: I’ll attempt to spoiler this one, for talk of children

So, how do you decide to go ahead, or how far to go, in terms of treatment when you already have two awesome littles? The unexplained is what really gets me - it’s back to the “well, there’s no reason it should work other than it hasn’t yet” which is not my fav space to be

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend? It was actually a great weekend, aside from the negative result. Weird headspace, for sure!

@britters314 Happy Anniversary! How long have you been married?

This is such a hard question and something we’ve been struggling with recently. For us, the answer was not very far, but of course it’s different for everyone. I often feel guilt over how hard IF/pregnancy loss have been for me. I feel like I have no right to complain because I have been blessed with 2 children. At the same time it still hurts to let go of that dream of another baby, especially after losses. I hope you can make a decision that feels right for you and brings you peace, regardless of how you decide to move forward.

Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, DOR, Asherman’s

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): benched

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): benched this cycle to let my lining heal after surgery to remove scar tissue/adhesions

How are things going?: Okay. Got my pathology report back from surgery and besides the scar tissue all is well in there. Feeling a bit down about this whole TTC thing right now and trying to find my hopeful heart again. I know it’s in there somewhere. We won’t be moving forward with IVF but I am thinking of discussing other treatments at my follow up. I have read some (admittedly anecdotal) successes in women my age with letrozole and progesterone, but I’m not sure if my RE will go for it without monitoring (appts are minimum 90+ minutes away). I know that statistically speaking these things will not improve my chances but I also know that it feels good to be doing something.

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend? Got the rest of my garden planted, hosted a dinner for the family, housework, laundry, and some general R&R. Also lots of much needed sexy time after time off for the surgery and recovery.

@maggiemadeit For what it's worth, my RE never did monitoring when I was on clomid/letrozole (and progesterone), even though I kind of expected it. Maybe because they figured my chances of success (let alone multiples) was already low? I didn't ask the rationale, but just know that it might be possible to try medication without monitoring depending on their clinic procedures.

Thank you @abjm0325! I was thinking the same thing. I think the other concern is hyper stimulation which also seems extremely unlikely in my case.

Diagnosis (if you've been): N/A - Just two literally sterile people hah.

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): IVF

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Husband just had his sperm extraction last week and I’m still waiting for the results if they survived freezing, how many, etc.

How are things going?: Good! Sorry I was absent for a month. I switched phones over and forgot about re-downloading the Bump. I also officially set up my own business for mobile massage and it’s been time consuming getting things ready.

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend? I’m in Canada so my long weekend was the previous week, but no. We’ve had some very bad fires here so there was a province wide fire ban. I mostly just worked

Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained/ Multiple Miscarriages

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): FET

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): 1st FET was May 31. Day 5 hatching "good-good" PGT normal boy embryo.

How are things going?: Going crazy waiting!

Any questions?: My doc had me do 1 50mg PIO injection 5 days before FET and then Endometrin 100mg twice a day after that. It seems weird that I only did 1 PIO shot. Anyone else with this experience? Anyone have a clue why this would be?

GTKY: Did you do anything fun over the long weekend? nope. Literally NOTHING. I was a huge couch potato.
