Trazadone while pregnant

in 1st Trimester
I’m looking for others how are taking or have taken trazadone while pregnant. I am prescribed it for MDD/insomnia but I am really freaking out about possible malformations in the baby etc I wouldn’t do anything to hurt my baby, but I also really depend on this medication to keep me functioning. Any input is appreciated.

    A great resource to learn about the research on different exposures during pregnancy is Mother to Baby. You can call and talk to them and/or search their website for a summary of what we know from research about different medications etc. From their fact sheet on Trazadone (https://mothertobaby.org/fact-sheets/trazodone/), it sounds like a pretty safe bet based on what research has been done so far. I'd use this information as part of your conversation with your doctor in deciding what's best for you and your baby
