Upcoming appointments: 6/7 NIPT and 12w appointment. 7/28 Anatomy Scan
How are you feeling? Nausea is more on and off but it's rough today. Emotionally all over the place, see rants and raves down below as to why.
Raves/Rants: Our house sold in under 48hrs on the market for 10K over asking! But our inspection on the home we put an offer on dind't go well. We are turning around and asking for a $15k credit to make repairs to the plumbing that the homeowners neglected. That is going in this afternoon so we will see what they say. If we don't get 10k or they don't respond by friday we are walking out of the deal and starting over again. Which is kinda scary.
Also boomer parents, or specifically mine suck ass sometimes. My parents are so out of touch of the current housing market and giving ridiculous advice like turn around and offer 50k less on the home instead of the 15k credit. Like we'd get laughed at by their realtors. I mean the last time either of them bought a home was in the 80s so yeah shit has changed a lot since then, but then stay in your lane. It doesn't help that I don't have the best relationship with them. But my mom's response to me saying that wouldn't work was "it was just a thought". K mom.
Upcoming appointments: 6/5 - 12w appointment and NIPT testing
How are you feeling? Nausea is much improved with B6 and Unisom, but it still pops up sometimes and it’s miserable. Tiredness is there commonly too. A friend of a friend lost their 2 year old in an accident this week. I didn’t know the child nor have I been in contact with the family in years, but it is hitting my emotions. The sadness I feel for those parents and the anxiety/fear it brings about it happening to this child I’ve prayed for for so long. I’m working hard not to let the anxiety take over, but man it’s not easy.
Raves/Rants: We are in the Dominican Republic right now celebrating our anniversary, now turned babymoon. We are just taking the opportunity to rest and relax so it’s been nice. Naps in the beach cabana, lazy floats in the pool, etc. Buuuut…I forgot to take my midday B6 today and now I’m paying for it. Soooo nauseous!!!
Questions: How real is the second trimester improvement in symptoms? I’m counting down the days to the end of 1st trimester and crossing my fingers that this nausea eases!
@parthi_baby so sorry about your friend's little. I can't even imagine what they are going through.
As for your question, it's a vast improvement. It was like a light switch around 16w for me I felt like myself again. No more nausea no more fatigue. It was fantastic. Plus you start feeling flutters which is so fun.
Upcoming appointments: They scheduled the next 3 appointments today - June 1, June 26, and July 17.
How are you feeling? Feeling really excited today after my appointment. It was so cool seeing the little arms and legs move! My doctor's office also sends pictures/videos from the u/s to an app, so even though my husband is in Germany for work this week, he was still able to see the movement. I had the NIPT bloodwork today, so now I'm anxiously awaiting the results from that.
Raves/Rants: My rant is part of my question, haha.
Questions: Anyone else feel like they ask the same questions every single time? Today was my third appointment for this pregnancy and they are still asking when my last period was and if I've had any other pregnancies before this. Shouldn't that all be on my chart by now?
Upcoming appointments: I have my 1st trimester appointment in 1 week. Looking forward to seeing baby again
How are you feeling? Still mostly tired and bloated. I'm feeling the internal stretching, too. I had a hard time focusing on my work this week, so I need to come up with strategies to deal with that.
Raves/Rants: I officially do not fit into most of my pants and I'm nervous someone (especially MIL) is going to notice. I'm not ready to share with the world yet!
@booksandicecream I feel you on not wanting to tell the world yet either! I made it through hanging out with my inlaws last weekend, but I have my parents up next weekend and I just gotta get past that and then I'll be free and clear until we announce to them.
Baby is the size of a(n): baby sea turtle shell (how specific Bump app🤣)
Upcoming appointments: NT scan on June 5- 3.5 week wait between appointments is the longest thus far🥺
How are you feeling? Nausea seems to be getting better. Fatigue is still super real. Least anxious I’ve been all pregnancy and finally believing this one is gonna stick!
Raves/Rants: I’m in Napa for a wedding this week and man, it sucks not being able to drink the wine! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t having the smallest of sips 😝 we planned this trip thinking I’d be further along (failed FET in January) and then after it failed I was kind of OK knowing i could enjoy wine country. But then so grateful for this surprise pregnancy! I’m a bridesmaid and will be seeing a lot of friends this weekend I haven’t seen in years. Crossing my fingers maybe I’ll get NIPT results in the next few days… bc I am planning to not hide the fact that I’m not drinking this weekend. Sharing with friends as i see them is helping with the isolation that PAL can create. Wish me luck!!
@dogmom512 I hear you - I would HATE being in Napa with no wine, haha. My husband has been talking about doing a babymoon because we love travel and mentioned Italy. I was like, "Can we maybe go somewhere that's not famous for wine?" I've been doing what professionals do: sip and spit, hahaha.
