1st Trimester

Hcg betas Do these look ok?

I got my Bfp at 9dpo and the first beta almost tripled. I got my Betta a week later and was expecting a much higher than it is I’m a little worried, so I want to make sure that these look ok.
13 dpo- hcg 108 3 weeks 6 days
15 dpo- hcg 337 4 weeks 1 day
18dpo - hcg 1067 4 weeks 4 days
26dpo - hcg 7540 5 weeks 5 days

I’m not sure if they seem a little high or if they should’ve double more than this by now. I put it into one of those calculators and it’s saying it’s doubling every 68 hours from 3-4 draws, which I know is within the 72 hour timeframe. I just think it’s weird that it was going up super fast in the beginning and then slowed down a week later. Has anyone had anything similar? Cause there still be a possibility for twins 🤞🏻. They do run in my family.

Re: Hcg betas Do these look ok?

  • Rate of HCG increase will slow down eventually. Usually happens once you start getting into the thousands.

And HCG is not always an indicator for twins. My HCG at 30dpo was over 43,000 and that's well on the high side for that dpo. In fact, looking at Betabase my HCG was above the median HCG level for twin pregnancies at 30dpo and I had a singleton.

  • Also why are you getting so many betas and what is your ordering provider saying about these results? I would trust what they have to say.
