Isn’t that with a needle into the belly? No, I haven’t and wouldn’t consider it. There are other, less invasive tests, effective tests like the NT screening and lab work or NIPT.
I wouldn’t do a CVS unless there was some question/indication it’s needed. My last pregnancy my nipt results were positive for a fatal condition, so we did a cvs to diagnose (nipt is a SCREENING, not a diagnosis I learned). The cvs was painful, highly stressful, and also comes with risk, but we had to do it because of the nipt results. Luckily the cvs confirmed there wasn’t the issue, but it’s absolutely not something I would do unless an nipt or nt/ultrasound had a lingering question.
I would second the NT screen - but even if you go with the CSV - I've done one, it's not lovely but if it will give you peace of mind through your pregnancy, then its worth it to me.
