Milk supply

I sent this to my ob just wanted some more opinions

Good morning, so sorry to bother you.
I had a question that I didn’t know if it was normal or not.
I’m 8 weeks & 5 days pregnant and I have a one year old.
I breastfeed my one year old for only 2-3 weeks and it never dried up even after I found out I was pregnant and last night I checked and absolutely nothing is coming out and I didn’t know if that was normal to just dry up.
I previously had a miscarriage in 2019 and this pregnancy has been super tough on me with my anxiety.

Re: Milk supply

  • @knottieb444740c1349c565 it is very normal to dry up during pregnancy. I've breastfed through 3 pregnancies and maintain a very very small supply after about 20 weeks. A lot of women dry up completely by 12 weeks though!

  • I'm 9 weeks - still breastfeeding my 13 month but positive stress getting very little. I believe she feeds for comfort over anything else! I hope I don't do up but if I do I have lots of frozen milk and plan to top her up once baby arrives.
