Does everyone have a rocking chair or glider? Those of you who have had kids before, is it a necessity? We don't have one yet, and now I feel unprepared. She could be here soon!
We're reusing the glider we got for DD. It looks like a stuffed armchair with a gliding ottoman. I think a regular armchair would have worked just as well for me, but it was still nice to have.
I didn't think we'd need a rocking chair for our first but my grandmother-in-law bought us one and I am so grateful for it. I've used it with all 3 kids (and will with this one) and spend a ton of time in it. Even my big kids love climbing up in the rocking chair to read. Ours was super cheap (from Target) and it's held up beautifully for almost 6.5 years!
We got a stuffed rocking armchair from Wayfair for my son 6 years ago, and will reuse it for this baby. We spent a ton of time in it for the first two years, and even now, he likes to read in it with me. I did a lot of overnight feedings there so I didn’t bother my husband in the bedroom and didn’t have to go all the way downstairs.
I have always gotten one for each nursery. If you have Costco near you the have a really nice reclining glider for under $400! We ended up buying two because I liked it so much!
