1st Trimester

The Bloating, no motivation, no appetite

So I've noticed this week (mid week 5) that I tend to be most bloated and gassy in the evening. Enough to make me lose my appetite (rare for me!), so I have to force myself to eat dinner ... It's worse because husband is out of town for work all week so I'm even lazier. I'm a Dietitian and even have good food I can easily heat up, but I'm struggling to do it.
Anyone else experiencing this?

  • Yes I also experience that. What I've been doing is trying to snack more during the day when I'm feeling well so that when evening comes around I just eat what I can stomach (usually not enough) and rest assured I should have enough calories for the day because of my other snacks. I made a big batch of banana peanut butter muffins yesterday too that will hopefully help me out when I'm not feeling like doing anything.

  • Yep! Hot foods are nauseating to me right now and I’m 5 weeks & 5 days. I have been doing smoothies or cold salads/fruit when I’m nauseous but need to eat. I do find that bacon is fine and prosciutto (because it’s cold) with crackers has helped me get food down that is nutritious.
