We had a big old snake in our egg box yesterday. He probably ate about 4 chicken eggs. We moved him a pretty decent distance away but I am paranoid he’ll come back 😂. Every time I open the coop today im holding my breath lol.
  • @Kiek I work in agriculture, and the nope rope would have to go very far away. I don't blame you for holding your breath!

@makingbacon oh yeah I’m terrified of snakes 😂. If it wasn’t for my husband the chicken coop would have become the snake’s new house and I’d have to find another chicken coop 😂.
  • @Kiek That looks amazing. I currently have a sweets aversion, but give me a few months, and I’d eat the whole thing lol.
  • @Kiek -  please mail me that entire thing!

  • @Kiek yum yum yum!!!
  • So I just had my 1x1 with my boss today. I just said screw it and told her I'm pregnant since we don't often have 1x1's. As per usual, she was amazing. Understanding and gave me her congratulations. At least now she'll understand why there's time marked off suddenly on my calendar.

  • I feel kind of bad bc I moved my 3 yo’s nap time up 15 minutes because I’m so tired I need a nap and I can’t make it to 12 😬 I also feel like a lazy bum bc nap time was always my workout time and I just can’t. Some days if I feel better later in the afternoon I give both kids their iPads and do a short workout but honestly I’m skipping that a lot too…

  • I'm enraged. I live in NY and our local HS received a prank phone call about an active shooter. I immediately started crying because it was so triggering given the events of this week. Entire district shut down, emergency alerts, texts, phone calls, emails. I'm so unbelievably disappointed that this is the future for our children and for us as parents.

Apparently this happened in other regions of NY this morning too so it's some kind of mass hoax. What sick people would do this??!

  • @mrsmtothek That's horrible. I'm in SC and a couple months back a bunch of area schools (mostly high schools) started getting those same active shooter hoax calls. Apparently it was some sort of TikTok challenge. Just disgusting.

I’m 9 weeks today and I’m hoping the nausea is at its peak because I just cannot lol. The B6 helped for like a minute but I’m back on the struggle bus 😫.

On another note, I have already started gaining weight which is not my norm. I had to get on the scale yesterday because that’s the only way to weigh my medically complex 7 year old at some of her appointments. So that was depressing 🫠. I think I audibly yikesed in front of the nurse 😂
  • @varimama I wouldn't feel bad. Pregnancy with littles is rough. I hope you get some much-needed rest!
@Kiek I haven't gained any weight yet, but my pants are already tighter from the bloat. Plus, I figure I'll be popping soon with this being baby #4.
@UnwritteN12 I'm glad the talk with your boss went well!

I told a close friend of mine today. She goes, I thought so but I wasn’t going to ask 😂. My body is betraying me with this bloat 😂
  • @Kiek I swear popping happens earlier with each pregnancy. I am trying to figure out how long I can go without my family/parents noticing I’m pregnant. I will for sure see them at 14 weeks. I’m optimistic (aka in denial) that I won’t be showing yet…I started showing with DS3 at 6.5 weeks lol.
  • @Kiek oh man!!! everyone is a CIA agent lol.

this also happened to me, one of my girlfriends called me out because I was showing. I get it - belly "blump" looks different than "plump" and distinguishable to fellow mamas BUT it seriously made me feel so self conscious afterwards.

  • @mrsmtothek I can’t believe someone called you out on it. I won’t even ask a woman who’s clearly 8 months pregnant unless she brings it up first! I have friends who’ve had things like Diastis Recti which has made them look pregnant and it hurts so much when people ask them if they are that I just don’t want to ruin someone’s day like that!

  • @varimama yes - this is how I feel too. I've struggled with DR for years so my belly definitely protrudes even more. And you just never know someone's backstory - what they've gone through, what they're experiencing, etc. My friend is a bit tone-deaf unfortunately.

  • @varimama Right?! I have a strict rule to never ask someone if they're pregnant.
@mrsmtothek I'm sorry the interaction made you uncomfortable, I would have been uncomfortable and self-conscious too. First trimester is so hard while our bodies are revolting in super fun ways and starting to change shape.
