    Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: Team finding out

    Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: Lego mini figure which my son thought was hilarious 

    Upcoming appointments: genetic testing 3/31 and 13 wk appt 4/10

    How are you feeling: my son got me sick so that is no fun. Symptoms are lessening which is scary but also normal as get closer to 2nd tri  

    Rants / Raves: this last week has been crazy with sickness in my house. I have to go to the store to get pregnancy safe cold medicine as nothing in my house is safe  

    ETA: I did something to my shoulder on Saturday and it hurts so bad to move it at all  

    Questions: Tea drinkers, what teas are you drinking? 

    GTKY: What is your favorite family vacation? We took a road trip from Oregon to Montana and back a few years ago that was a blast. I would love to do it again.

    Upcoming appointments: NIPT blood draw this Wednesday, Next Monday March 27th - quick check up with my OB/MFM regarding my last vaginal swab which turned up abnormal (I'm on antibiotics now it must be BV...), March 30th - NT scan, April 6th - Cerclage

    How are you feeling: I thought I was starting to feel better but I really am not haha. Still exhausted, nauseous towards the end of the day... I also have to pee often and have to go quick 😬. Emotionally I'm super nervous about that BV... and having some pretty bad PGAL brain

    Rants / Raves: Not a rant or a rave as per se but I hope my NT scan doesn't move my due date! Here they base school start year on October 1st. So I really hope we make it to October or else this baby will "lose" a year before school... I think it's really young to start school at barely 5 years old... and I'll have a scheduled c section at 38 weeks. It will be a close call 😬

    Questions: Any STM ever had BV in pregnancy? I'm scared it will be hard to get rid of and/or recurrent...

    GTKY: What is your favorite family vacation? We went to Greece for a month last summer with our then 13 month old. We had the best time. We still talk about that trip most days 😅 Looking forward to going back with 2 kiddos in Summer 2024

    @AmMcc12 Thanks for being our weekly check-in post-er!! As for tea ... On the days I don't drink coffee, I have jasmine green tea for my caffeine. Other than that, it is all lemon ginger tea in hope it calms the nausea 😵

    Upcoming appointments: 3/29 for 10 week appt with all the blood testing and whatnot

    How are you feeling: nausea and exhaustion all the time. I went to bed at 6:30pm (right after I put my 1yo to bed) the other day. 😴 💤 

    Rants / Raves: I'm just sick of being sick. Make it stoooop 😫

    Questions: Those of you with early October due dates, have you gotten some 2nd trimester energy yet? I need some hope to get thru this rough period! 

    GTKY: What is your favorite family vacation? As a kid, my family always went to the beach in the summer (mid atlantic). We took a beach trip last summer with our first and I'm excited to go again this year. It will be fun to see my daughter be able to explore the beach more and maybe build some sand castles (in the sand 🎶  <- please tell me there are HIMYM fans here!)

    @alpacamama2 Now that the residual COVID fatigue is wearing off, I definitely have a ton more energy! Also, HIMYM fan here (up until that final season)

    Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a Rubiks cube

    Upcoming appointments: Nothing scheduled now until my morphology ultrasound in May, but I'll go in for an early GD test this weekend

    How are you feeling: Pretty good! Not feeling many symptoms, but had an ultrasound today so no anxiety for now 😆

    Rants / Raves: I already have an obvious bump! I feel like it took so much longer the first time around. I don't know if this is a rant or a rave but at least I can justify wearing my maternity clothes now

    GTKY: What is your favorite family vacation? We haven't done a vacation with the kid yet. Pre-baby, my favourite vacation was when MH and I went to Niagara Falls and leaned hard into all the touristy stuff. We had a list of things we wanted to do, but no schedule, and it was so relaxing to just go with the flow instead of having an itinerary.

    Upcoming appointments: April 13th

    How are you feeling: better nausea wise, but still low energy. On top of cooking normal meals, I was able to make some waffles to freeze for easy breakfasts yesterday so that was a win for me. 

    Rants / Raves: I've had a stuffy nose for 3 weeks now and so much sneezing! Plus itchy/water eyes. I don't usually get allergies so I'm guessing it's pregnancy related. Not fun to be constantly looking for a Kleenex

    Questions:

    GTKY: What is your favorite family vacation? 
    When i was 12(?) My family did a road trip from Canada to the Black Hills with the family of my best friend. There were 10 of us kids in between both families ranging from 2 to 13. We had so much fun and rented a little cabin together once we arrived at our destination. Now as a mom I can appreciate how much work went into that trip!

    @AmMcc12 I have been drinking sweetened green tea with fresh calamansi juice on ice. It's one of my favorites normally so it's hard to limit myself to one (fairly large cup) a day.
