Trying to Get Pregnant

WAYDTGKU: all the sex, bbt, OPK

R/R: Lucas and I had a huge fight on Friday. Life has been so stressful and I think it just has been getting to us. I haven't kept up well with the house, and getting back on schedule after the Disney trip, etc and his lab mates giving him a ton of stress at work. Plus bad family news all week.  It was just a bad Friday. I think we are ok. But I just want to get into a good rhythm again with no bad medical news. Which I'm sure is just too much to ask for 🙈

CS/Q: very uneventful chart below currently  lol

  • Oh hey cycle buddies 👋

@stashattack ugh so sorry about the fight and the hard day/circumstances.  I hope this week is a week of kindness and unity for you both.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3 (TTA x2, now NTNP)

    CD: 11

WAYDTGKU: BBT, functional medicine (done) & endocrinology (set for 3/30) consults for slightly elevated TSH, ASA for previous RPL hx/presumed MTHFR mutation, inositol for PCOS, spearmint & green teas, omega 3s, COQ10, Quercetin for allergy/asthma but could have fertility benefits.

R/R:  I’m going to meet with the endocrinologist next week, just truly not sure what he’ll say other than I can decide to start meds now, or draw repeat Thyroid labs ASAP if BFP and start meds then if needed.

I had a long conversation with my SIL about it this week and just feeling conflicted I think mostly from our loss history.  I really believe my body is healthier than it has ever been (objectively arresting creeping chronic issues/inflammation with the functional medicine doctor), my cycles so far are regular and predictable and that’s neverrrr described my cycles, it’s just this grey area with asymptomatic hypothyroidism where I don’t need treatment from a medical standpoint, my other thyroid labs are great but the loss statistics based on my TSH have me 😟.  But then again with all 3 losses my TSH was normal.  There’s no such thing as a guarantee that loss risk is zero or low. (Ay, there’s the rub.)  Just feeling that right now.

CS/Q:  Nope//My chart is totally blank until my first temp tomorrow am 😂

  • Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 11

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, BD EOD

R/R: It’s fertile week, so hopefully we can get some good timing! I haven’t had any fertile CM yet, though, so hopefully that comes soon.

    CS/Q:

  • @stashattack sorry about your fight! We have had a rough week, too…

@virginiaham I’m so sorry with your conflicted feelings. I feel like losses make this journey so much less exciting. It’s just not fair.

    Month/Cycle: 13/10 AL

    CD: 5

    WAYDTGKU: bbt, OPK, cm, HIO

R/R: Ready to be back in routine after a crazy weekend! But now we are back in testing season, so my student teacher had to take a back seat today so I could do some test prep. Whoever decided standardized testing 3rd graders was a great idea is getting the giant middle finger from me right now!

CS/Q: not much to look at. Still AF for another day or 2.

  • @stashattack Sorry you’re having a stressful time. I hope things calm down for you soon.
@virginiaham I hope the endocrinologist can help you decide on the best course of action. It’s so hard when you’ve had losses.
    @ejoseph16 Standardized testing, ugh!

Month/Cycle: 21 since we started trying, but 7 back TTC again after taking a break for losses/benching/etc

    CD: 11

WAYDTGKU: Acupuncture, TCM herbs, ubiquinol and NAC for my old eggs, BBT/CM/OPK, getting it on

R/R: Got a positive OPK today and had to fight the urge to BD tonight. We did yesterday and we can never manage to follow the advice of trying EOD (always get carried away during the fertile window and BD every day). But I am staying strong today and we’ll BD with rested sperm tomorrow. How has my life come to this that I am planning sex for optimal sperm? Do you ever look at yourself during this process and just wonder if you’ve lost your damn mind? No, just me? Lol

CS/Q: Sharing for science, but not all that interesting at the moment.

  • @maggiemadeit I have never been able to follow the EOD advice either unless forced to by outside circumstances. So feel you there. And yes I'm constantly questioning my sanity during this process.

And I think I slept through my LH surge. OPK last night around 8ish was getting darker. This morning it was lighter. Like a crazy person I brought some OPKs into work to test so I may go soon to confirm but mad that my body decided to surge while I was asleep. Rude ass body. At least I'm temping this month to confirm O? Idk we shall see if my temp spikes tomorrow? or in the next few days. Which feels forever away.

    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: The usual suspects (TI, OPKs, supplements, temping, and charting), plus extras (blood tests, urine hormone tests, LLLT, spending my life savings on urine cups)

R/R: Still smarting from my body faking me out with its super-long luteal phase last cycle, but on goes life.  At least my temperature is behaving itself and not zigzagging all over the place like it usually does.  And that's more than I can say for my AMH levels.  Last cycle, I did an AMH blood test through Let's Get Checked and got a result of 0.37.  This cycle, I did a multi-hormone Modern Fertility test, and my level was 1.12!  Huh?  I mean, I'm thrilled, but at the same time I'm not sure how I got such different results!  I'm seriously considering doing another test next cycle to confirm which of the others was correct, if I don't get pregnant this cycle.

    CS/Q: None

@stashattack Ugh.  Husband fights are the worst.  We're each the one person that our partner can be extremely real with, but when both partners' "reals" consist of extra stress and frustration, it sucks for both even in a good marriage - especially when it's right at the time when we have to be super close because it's TTC!  I'm rooting for things to stabilize for you ASAP.

@virginiaham So glad to hear that you're feeling so physically healthy, and that you have a supportive SIL!  You're clearly giving careful consideration to the variables of creating another life, and I admire your patience and maturity.  I'm sure that you and your partner will eventually reach a conclusion that gives you confidence and peace.
