Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: October 11 / 9w5d
FTM/STM/STM+: STM
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: We'll find out! I'm hoping to have a good idea at my NT scan. It's the 3rd time I'll have the same tech and she always got it right so far!
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: Cherry/chocolate truffle
Upcoming appointments: Really excited for my first OB/MFM appointment tomorrow. Then NT scan on March 30th.
How are you feeling: I think I'm starting to feel better but I still have some nausea in the evening. Definitely have been having sudden food cravings. And definitely still exhausted 🙃
Rants / Raves: I think I'll tell my bosses at work that I'm expecting this week. 😬
Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: October 1 / 11+1
FTM/STM/STM+: STM
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: Undecided
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: A Lego person
Upcoming appointments: First midwife appointment is on Wednesday
How are you feeling: Not feeling much by way of pregnancy symptoms these days. I think I'm starting to feel my uterus as it grows though.
Rants / Raves: So that bad cold I had last week? Yeah, ended up being COVID. It was actually our first experience with it. I had the really bad headcold variety, MH had the full aches, chills, fever experience, and our toddler threw up once, then was tired for a few days and that was it. But now he's sleeping so so poorly (which is apparently pretty common with young kids after COVID). Last night, he woke up every hour. I'm just hoping tonight is better.
Questions: For anyone who had a kid with bad sleep after COVID, how long does this last???
GTKY: Do you collect anything? Do recipes count? I have collections of recipes I want to try but haven't yet
@sawasap after Covid last summer I can't remember if my son was sleeping worst but he was really tired for a long time. So maybe being so tired makes it hard to sleep 🤷♀️ I hope you all feel better now
@sawasap oooo do you have any recipes that you are particularly excited about? Maybe we need a recipe swap thread.
Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: Oct 24th // 7 weeks
FTM/STM/STM+: STM
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: we will find out. I want a girl, husband wants a boy. It's funny because I always saw myself having a boy but our first was a girl and now I'm in love with the idea of sisters.
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a raspberry
Upcoming appointments: tomorrow!!!
How are you feeling: lots of nausea and fatigue.
Rants / Raves: I have a bunch of work related trainings and conferences coming up and I am so nervous about vomiting in the middle of them. I have very detailed plans of snacks to pack so hopefully that will help. 😄
Questions: natm
GTKY: Do you collect anything? Art supplies 🤪. It's a problem lol
@alpacamama2 I would definitely be into a recipe swap thread! A friend recently went vegan, and there's a vegan chocolate mousse recipe I want to try it. And there's a vegetarian baked ziti that looks really good too. I have tons because I just save them and then never make them 😆
Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: September 30, 11 +5
FTM/STM/STM+: STM
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: we want to know, but the country we currently live in does not allow it. We will see if we can find a way around that or if we have to wait until we go to N America for the birth.
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a macaron
Upcoming appointments: Friday!
How are you feeling: gross, no energy, the occasional headaches. I can't wait until I get my energy back in 2nd trimester like with my 1st
Rants / Raves:
Questions: none
GTKY: Do you collect anything? Nancy Drew books. I started when I was in Middle School and my grandmother gave me her collection when I was in high school. I have some really old copies and some interesting editions. Hopefully I'll have a kid that's into reading them 😀
@alpacamama2@sawasap I'd also be up for a recipe thread. I love to cook and bake and try new recipes. I made bulgogi beef yesterday for my husband and I and it was a hit but was also so easy to make!
Last week I fell backwards off an office chair and hit my head on the wall and my neck bent uncomfortably. We went to the doctors just to be sure and he ended up not doing a single test or anything. He said "if you aren't throwing up, if you didn't pass out and if your headaches can be managed with Tylenol it's ok." Then proceeded to tell me how I needed to be super careful because I'm pregnant, how they won't do a lot of tests like CT scan or X ray or give certain medicines to pregnant women. And that I should be more careful. Kind of frustrating because obviously I am being careful, I wasn't even doing anything risky, my chair just slipped while I was leaning back and I fell. Also a little frustrated he didn't even look at the back of my head/neck at all.
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: honestly I'm just looking forward to finding out so that I can figure out how to declutter all of our stuff from DS1 that's getting in the way lol.
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: blueberry maybe? Forgot to double check.
Upcoming appointments: 3/29, first appt, getting quite impatient
How are you feeling: Nausea and aversions are really kicking my butt right now. Everything tastes different and I struggle figuring out what to pack for lunch bc I'm not in the mood for anything.
Rants / Raves: We told my inlaws last weekend, which went well, but I'm already getting unsolicited advice and offers to help from my MIL. First, she sent me a message reminding me not to clean the litter box--no kidding. As a cat owner, that's the first thing I stopped doing bc nobody wants to do that lol. Then she offered to have my son sleep over her house on a weekday since my husband is on call that evening... ??? Nope. So I'm just going to try to ignore or decline for as long as I can, last time around she was excessive with her advice and I ended up having to say something. But I don't understand why the super obvious advice is necessary to give when this is my second time, it just feels condescending.
Questions: nope
GTKY: Do you collect anything? I like collecting things, but I'm trying not to collect as much since I've learned I don't like clutter. I like to save postcards and I collect National Park passport stamps, but these collections are still somewhat small.
@linh18 Bulgogi! I love Korean food. My favorite Korean restaurant closed during the pandemic 😭. (I loved their Soondubu jjigae).
I started reading the book, "The Fourth Trimester" which talks about foods to eat postpartum. I really want to gather some recipes to prep for that period!
Also @linh18 that sucks about the shitty care you received! It is so frustrating when medical professionals don't take things seriously. Hope your head is doing OK!
@mamahaley_2 "half empty water bottles" 😂 This is very relatable! Somehow they all end up in my car...
@lindz42 I had to set some pretty firm boundaries with my in-laws (and my Dad) during my first pregnancy. Sometimes I think I might have been too harsh but honestly, it has made my life so much easier! Being direct has it's benefits!!
Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: October 8th, 10.5 weeks

Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: Boy, husband wants a girl. I won't care in the end I just love my son and imagine myself as a boy mom
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a brussel sprout
Upcoming appointments: 12 week check up on the 28th
How are you feeling: nausea disappeared which makes me anxious because I had a miscarriage 6 months ago and losing symptoms was the first sign. I am exhausted. Sore boobs. Noticeable slow digestion. Some scents are bothering me.
Rants / Raves: my family and closer friends have been wonderful. We told way too many people last time so we are refraining
Questions: is it normal for nausea to be so strong for around 4 weeks and then just disappear? I honestly can't remember how nauseous I was with my son. I know it wasn't horrible.
GTKY: Do you collect anything? Hot sauce! I do eat what I collect. Also....pokemon hahah 😆
@ashwee0424 I remember starting to feel a lot better at 10 weeks with my son and it seems to start happening again so I'm hoping we're just passed the peak and that's all it is
@ashwee0424 I had the same experience! I still had other symptoms, so I wasn't too concerned. Then I went to my midwife appointment today (spoiler: everything was fine, don't be concerned as you read the next part of the sentence) and she couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler, so I started quietly panicking. Luckily they have a bedside ultrasound and baby was in there moving around, was just all the way at the back of my uterus so the doppler couldn't pick it up 🤦♀️
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: 🍒 cherry
Upcoming appointments: ultrasound Friday! It was supposed to be yesterday but we got 20 inches of snow instead. My parents got like four FEET so I’m trying not to whine.
How are you feeling: exhausted. Sick. My MIL passed away on the 1st unexpectedly, so we had to fly across the country unexpectedly to plan the funeral and settle her affairs. I got home just in time to handle a ridiculous amount of snow. I need to sleep for a week.
Rants / Raves: the snow also broke part of my windshield because it was so effing heavy. So I need to sort that out tomorrow. 🥴
Questions:
GTKY: Do you collect anything? Baby carriers! I’m thinking I might get certified as a baby wearing instructor and open a lending library. I have like 40 carriers and love sharing the skill and my carriers.
@charmedlifex3 where are you located already ? I'm afraid that snow is coming here 😬 when it finally started to ment. I can see the ground in my back yard 😅. And you know I'm actually starting to have quite a collection of baby carriers too 🙈 I just picked up a new ring sling on Monday for this October baby. Can't wait to use it!
@mimser! I love sling rings! They turned out to be one of my fav carriers. @charmedlifex3 I am intrigued that you can belly wrap with sling rings. How does that work?

How are you feeling: bloated, emotional, tired, excited.
Rants / Raves: I can’t seem to get enough lemon peel stuffed green olives. I’m afflicted.
