TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ballgame. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Diagnosis (if you've been): No diagnosis, just no luck.

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): WTO

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Finished my 5 days of Letrozole and now we’re waiting to ovulate.

How are things going?: Not great. I’ve been super down lately.

Any questions?: Any ideas for cheering yourself up?

@dmcg17 the Letrozole may be contributing to the downs. Self Care may help. Reading stupid rom coms cheer me up.

@mambo5-2 Yeah, my doctor said it could make me emotional and then the side effects said low mood, so I definitely think that’s part of it. I’ll try to find some time for self care this week; that’s definitely something I could be better at.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): HIO and OPK, H is due for his next SA

How are things going?: Pretty good. Usually we don't have this good of timing.

Any questions?: Nope

Status (TI/ICI/IUI/IVF/FET/benched): WF FET

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): currently on bcp while waiting on insurance authorization

How are things going?: I feel thankful to have insurance, but also talk about red tape. Contact Dr to contact insurance to contact me to contact insurance to contact me to contact Dr. My head is spinning.

Any questions?: not really a a question, but planning on a natural cycle FET, except they have me on about a week worth of BCP to work out insurance timing. Any idea how much BCP typically impacts cycles resuming? If at all?

@dmcg17 maybe getting in a workout? That helped for me when I tried Letrozole.

@mambo5-2 I took time yesterday to do a face mask and used a shower steamer with calming scents. I ended up completely breaking down last night and told my husband how depressed I’ve been and he got up with the dogs to let me sleep in today. I definitely think the self care was a good idea!

@halfanewt Ugh, the back and forth with insurance can be so infuriating! 80’s covers are awesome - what’s a good one you recommend?

Happy Friday IF T&T friends. I got my period today and now I officially meet the narrow insurance definition of IF so I can go see a specialist. But also I guess I go here now, so hi 👋🏼

My first appointment with the fertility doc is in early April. I am having A LOT of feelings about this label and what it means to go to a fertility doctor, but just trying to take it one step at a time and frame it as a fact finding mission. I’m a scientist and I love me some good data!
