I should have started this earlier in the week, but better late than never, right? Here's a place to talk about anything with the group; doesn't necessarily have to relate to pregnancy.
Not super random because my brain is on the eggo preggo channel all day. I cannot focus on anything else! I can't get over how much I've forgotten about what you can/can't eat, drink, consume, wear, etc and I'm googling non stop just to make sure lol.
The nausea is here which means the intense morning sickness is showing up any day now. It’s good. For my body it means everything is moving forward as it should. But I’m not in my 20s anymore. I cannot survive off Swiss cake rolls and English muffins 😅. I have to be hyper intentional with my nutrition even if it makes me gag. I’m definitely starting to get nervous. I’m a special needs parent and full time caregiver. Plus I homeschool my oldest child. There is zero chance of me getting to rest this pregnancy 🫠💀. They nausea is already keeping me awake at night. It going to be a long first trimester lol
@Kiek nausea is such a great reassurance but also BLEGH i'm sorry!! its hard not to anticipate the first tri when you've been there done that it's all about survival IMO lol
nausea has been super early last pregnancy and this one. Based on my LMP I’m 5 weeks today. It’s not all day but it’s enough off and on to start bothering me. Also my H’s deodorant makes me want to puke. I hope it’s not setting me up for awful morning sickness again like last time 😩 but I do consider symptoms more of a blessing than a curse, as kiek said it means things are moving along! Trying to stay positive with that mindset haha
Today is the first day in the past week and a half that I haven’t been nauseous (fingers crossed I didn’t just jinx myself). Since I actually feel like eating something today I’m taking full advantage of Food Truck Friday at the office. Cheesy ranch loaded fries here I come.
I started out the day with a good amount of energy, which surprised me. But right at about 1pm I hit a brick wall and suddenly couldn't keep my eyes open. I had to go out to my car and take a power nap to get through the rest of the day. However, I've still managed to get through a majority of the day without feeling nauseous, so that's a win! I happened to take a b-12 supplement this morning, which I don't normally do, and I wonder if that might be helping me with the nausea. Has anyone had experience with that?

My dr recommended I take that last time when I refused medication for my nausea at my 8 week appt… it helped until it didn’t lol I ended up calling in for a prescription around 10 weeks.
I finally told my husband tonight. I needed to process alone for the last week. I think we are both equally happy and terrified lol. I had this laying on the bed when he got home from work.
@mrsmtothek normally I’m the type that would be bursting at the seams lol. But we have a lot of trauma around this so I just needed this time for myself and then I knew I needed to tell him gently. We are definitely way out of the baby stage so it’s going to be a lot to process for us lol
@chrissdee my sister and I both get severe morning sickness every pregnancy. She had a lot of luck with the vitamin B and Unisam (sp?). I never had luck with either lol. I’m just going to eat ginger candy and white knuckle it until the end of April 😂💀
@Kiek as are we - we literally just threw away our kids crib, I was starting to declutter and get rid of baby toys, rejoicing being done with diapers, more independence, etc. It's honestly a whirlwind mentally and so weird (and scary AF) to process
Re: Weekly Randoms - week of 2/27
But anyways, I was super excited to find out my fav prebiotic drink is pregnancy friendly! https://www.drinkpoppi.com/articles/why-you-can-and-should-drink-prebiotic-soda-when-pregnant/#:~:text=That's%20right!,of%20drinking%20poppi%20during%20pregnancy.
