Anyone had a referral to MFM for a placental bleed?
Just finished up my anatomy scan and there was a placental bleed on the ultrasound. I haven't had any vaginal bleeding, and P is growing beautifully, so we aren't *super* concerned, but I am obviously freaking out.
Anyone at the point where they can't eat a full meal anymore? I had a sandwich for lunch, just a sandwich, and my stomach has felt full to bursting ever since!
@casshax if I eat one bit over I’m throwing up. All our organs are squished to make room for babies. Sometimes I’m so into a food I can’t stop eating it and then trouble comes. I’m trying to find the balance with small snack size meals and eating frequently.
I can't tell if what I'm dealing with is pregnancy rhinitis or pregnancy acid reflux, but ever since I had my sinus infection about a month ago, I've been coughing up yellow in the morning (TMI) and clearing my throat constantly. I have acid reflux even when I'm not pregnant and it makes me clear my throat a lot after I eat, but this is all day long and not triggered by anything. Sometimes I have coffee or spicy food just to help cough up whatever is sitting there.
Anyone else experience severe back pain/hip pain when pregnant? It’s been so hard trying to cope with the pain it’s excruciating and preventing me from doing most daily activities 😣 buying a tens machine to see if that helps but any advice would be helpful
@lys515 yes. See a chiropractor if possible helps loads, I use a massage gun as well. Our body is changing a lot to accommodate our ever growing babies. There are also stretches that your doctor or a chiropractor can give you to help as well. Hang in there.
My bloodwork yesterday showed I'm anemic (again) and a one-hour glucose level of 143...so it looks like I'll be going back for the three-hour test. And my urine test showed what looks like a very mild UTI, and I don't know why my doctor didn't say anything: it was on the paperwork that the nurse handed to me before my glucose test. I don't think any of these are going to cause a major issue, but it's not what I was expecting
@hestia-is-wearie Ugh, the heartburn totally sucks and I feel your pain. I had a big lunch and am paying for it now even though I haven't eaten anything since mid afternoon... Tums are my best friend.
Anyone have/had/know much about velamentous cord insertion? My OB seems unconcerned (which is reassuring) and I’m going in regularly for ultrasounds to monitor and everything has been well, but Google paints a much scarier picture (I regret ever looking that up lol).
Dr. Google will always freak you out! There is really nothing you can do but monitor for a velamentous cord insertion. I have seen it a few times as a labor and delivery nurse. Sometimes they don't even catch it and we only found out after a perfectly normal birth. Try and relax and just continue to monitor it.
@lys515 Yup I had it about two weeks ago, then it went away. This past Saturday it has come back with a vengeance! Trying all the stretches to relieve it. 🤞
@lys515I've got a wonky lower back anyway, but some things that help me are stretching and a belly band. As for hips, if it's more hip flexor muscle, I just focus on walking intentionally using larger leg muscles. Have you told your doctor?

Anyways, last night he was moving around and I told DH "He's feeling if you want to move him."
I can’t predict what’s going to give me heartburn these days. One day, food X will trigger it, and be fine the next day. It’s baffling.
