IUI failed cycles.

Anyone here been successful with IUI? I've done 2 unmedicated cycles and just had my 1st medicated cycle fail. I have no known fertility issues aside from a slightly low amh but I still ovulate and have follicles that mature properly. My husband is infertile and were using frozen donor sperm. My medicated protocol was clomid 100mg, ovidrel trigger and supplemented with progesterone after ovulation. I had 5 follicles, 2 mature, one on each side. One was 17.5mm and the other was 25mm. My uterine lining was 12mm. I'm taking so many supplements, stopped drinking alcohol and caffeine. I drink nearly a gallon of water a day and have been trying to eat super clean. I don't understand why this isn't working and need some hope to continue. We're trying to avoid IVF due to cost and I would like to avoid the extra hormones.

    We just had our 3rd failed medicated iui cycle. We have MFI with my husbands motility and morphology being low. My doctor wants us to do at least 5 because my husbands numbers are not super terrible but I’m starting to think about talking to him about stopping at 4 and saving the money for ivf.

    We did 4 medicated with timed intercourse cycles and 2 failed medicated iui. My last cycle I had 4 good follicles with no luck. My husbands motility and morphology is low. I want to move to ivf because the rates are higher but the Doctor wants to us to do a few more iui. Going to try one more time next month if it doesn't work im going to ask to move foward.

    The failure of IUI can be explained by a variety of factors. Endometriosis, poor sperm quality, diminished ovarian reserve, poor egg quality, etc. are some of the frequent causes of failed IUI. For women under 35, doing 3 to 4 rounds of IUI before considering IVF, but this recommendation can go up to 5 to 6 in carefully selected patients.
