Chart Stalk / Questions month of February

This is a thread where anyone can feel free to request a chart stalk, second-guess FF's interpretation, or post TTC-related questions, regardless of where in your cycle you are. Sometimes FF is wrong. That's where we come in. Get your second opinion here!

I know we didn’t have one of these in January, but I have some questions so I hope it’s okay I brought it back. Also I tried adding a GIF in there and it didn’t work.

Anyway, idk now if I’m in the TWW or WTO. Here is my chart:

Being sick has really made it hard to interpret. The last two days my temp has been high, but I’ve also been waking up a lot in the early morning because I’m really congested, so I know that can affect temps.

The days with watery CM and EWCM were not as fertile-looking as I usually have and the EWCM was only right at the end of the day too. I’ve had nasal congestion. Could that have affected the mucus in other parts of my body too? I was taking a decongestant most days that I was sick.

Edit: Here is my chart if I put back in the two discarded temps. FF changes the CH there, but it still doesn’t line up with CM signs. My temp is never as high as it was those two days, so I’m pretty sure it was from being sick but idk anymore.

  • @britters314 I’m sorry it’s so confusing!  You weren’t using OPKs were you?  I hope things become clear in the next few days.

  • No, usually CM and BBT are enough to easily tell so that’s all I use. I seem to be on the tail end of my cold so hopefully I can get a reliable temp tomorrow.
  • Does anyone take baby aspirin while TTC? My OBGYN said it couldn’t hurt but I haven’t tried it yet, and I am thinking of adding it for next cycle. Do you take it during your whole cycle, or only after ovulation?

Lurking @maggiemadeit I’ve been on baby aspirin since being ok’ed to start trying again after all my surgeries/biopsies.

Edit to add: take it the whole cycle.
  • Thank you @anniemarie887! My OBGYN wasn’t convinced it would help, but if it can’t hurt, I’m going to give it a go. I hope everything is going well for you!
  • *lurking* @maggiemadeit My RE has everyone with recurrent MCs take baby aspirin as a precaution, so I've been on it continuously since spring 2022.
  • What is the baby aspirin for? I haven’t heard of that for TTC
  • It looks like researchers believe that it helps increase blood flow to the uterus to help prevent miscarriages

  • @abjm0325 Thank you! My OBGYN mentioned that if I would likely be put on it if I was seeing an RE for my miscarriages.

@britters314 Aspirin also has anti-inflammatory properties, so in addition to helping with blood flow and clotting, it can also help with an overly active immune system (I’m an autoimmune gal).
  • @maggiemadeit my RE put me on it after RPL a while back and I’ll start it again once I’m off the bench (current bench is not loss-related).  It’s one of those might help/won’t hurt, and he said to take it daily.

  • I’m just full of questions this month lol. I‘ve been consistently getting positive OPKs but wanted to actually confirm ovulation this month, so I’ve been temping and planning to do the Proov PdG tests to confirm progesterone levels rise in the luteal phase. I need to test on days 7-10 after ovulation, but my chart has me a little confused on when the temp shift was. FF marked the shift on CD12 but I’m wondering if maybe it’s CD14. Any chart experts have thoughts on this one? Thank you!

  • @maggiemadeit It’s possible FF will change your CH after another high temp tomorrow. But CD 14 doesn’t line up with CM and OPKs. I see your temp on CD 13 was the same as CD 12. I wonder if your thermometer didn’t temp properly on CD 13 and that day should have been higher, which would put O at CD 12.
  • Thanks for taking a look @britters314. I would have assumed O on CD12 if I hadn’t been tracking BBT, so I’ll probably do my progesterone test timing based on that.
