    GTKY: What is your favourite part about where you live? I don't know. I love the house, the yard, where it's situated... If we talk more globally, I wouldn't know because I haven't experience living in other countries.

    Upcoming appointments: US Feb. 9th

    How are you feeling? Okay I guess, the fatigue sucks and the breast pain is so terrible but other than that I'm okay. I feel better after the first US although I couldn't really see anything.

    Raves/Rants: T
    Rave: Yesterday I couldn't stop staring at the US pictures. It definitely became more real feeling.
    Rant: Why can't I sleep past 5am anymore? The cats wake me up at 5am, then I roll around in bed until 6am (now), finally giving up. I love my cats but they can be a pain sometimes!

    GTKY: What is your favourite part about where you live? I'm not too fond of where we live. It's a small city in China, limited resources, people smoking everywhere (yes, indoors), smog, ect. For all of those reasons, we are moving in June. But, all else aside, my favorite part is our home and being close to my husband's family. If we never lived here, I would have never been able to get to know them.

    How are you feeling? 
    Good still! I only had a couple days of nausea in week 7 with both of my previous pregnancies, so really hoping my luck hasn’t run out. 

    Raves/Rants: 
    I recently discovered the FlexX line of jeans at Express that fit three different sizes. SO perfect for these early weeks before I have to bust out the maternity pants.

    GTKY:  What is your favourite part about where you live? 
    I live in a suburb of Washington DC. I love how easy it is to get to different places - beaches or mountains both within a 3 hour drive, several major US cities like New York within a 3 hour train ride, direct flights to Europe.

    I’m not even sure. It’s way too cold here right now but I also live where we don’t have all the poisonous snakes and spiders I suppose even though it’s not pleasant right now! Lol

    EDD/Weeks + days: 9/1 9 weeks 5 days. 

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Dr offered the blood test so may know this week.

    Upcoming appointments: Feb 13th with my midwife. 

    How are you feeling? Getting a break from the nausea today so I’m great. A little tired. 

    Raves/Rants: midwife is on board for a VBAC assuming everything goes smoothly! 

    Questions: 

    GTKY:  What is your favourite part about where you live? The scenery. We have the redwoods here and the coastline in Northern Ca is beautiful.

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: I want the surprise at birth, my husband wants to find out. We’ll see who wins!

    Upcoming appointments: bloodwork ?, midwife March 20

    How are you feeling? been really good and I’m very grateful for that, with just enough constant awareness in the form of little, minor symptoms to reassure me it’s true. Today and yesterday have been perfect and I know there’s not really cause to worry but I’d almost rather feel a little bit of something, in any way, just to reassure me. 

    Raves/Rants: having a good pregnancy is a little rough because I’m having a hard time finding community as most people downplay this because their symptoms were so much worse. I’m still pregnant and I still want some support 🥺 I’m really really sorry for those who are so sick, that sucks. But mine is still valid too. 

    Questions: is sciatic pain a thing this early on? 

    GTKY:  What is your favourite part about where you live? Unsure. Having four distinct, beautiful seasons is awesome! Southern Ontario.

    Upcoming appointments: Feb 15 for next ultrasound and Feb 24 for 10 week scan 

    How are you feeling? Had a good 36 hours and back to feeling like crap. 

    Raves/Rants: My boys are finally better and I am so relieved. I was so worried about them and so stressed out. But their energy is back, they are eating again, and I hope they stay sick free for a while! 

    Questions: 

    GTKY:  What is your favourite part about where you live? 

    I love the proximity to other countries and how easy it is to travel. I also like how child friendly it is where I am and that children are just an accepted part of society and never a nuisance.

    My first pregnancy was like this and you absolutely deserve the support same as anyone else. 

    I have problem with sciatic pain pregnant or not but I do think it’s common during pregnancy.

    Upcoming appointments: 2/20 for NIPT, and getting an extra first tri u/s for reassurance 

    How are you feeling? Mostly tired. This is my first pregnancy where I’m not nauseous 24/7, but when it hits, it’s intense. I’m also starving and seem to need A LOT of protein. 

    Raves/Rants: Just caught an awful cold from one of my kids, and can barely talk this morning! Ugh.

    Questions: 

    GTKY:  What is your favourite part about where you live? 
    Having so much space, I guess? And it’s quiet? That’s it, though. We moved from the suburbs out to 6 acres in a rural area about 45 mins away 2.5 years ago (during Covid…), and I kind of hate everything else about it. Plus, you know, living in the US, and in a red state, and having all 4 seasons hit super hard including 100+ degrees in the summer and -20 in the winter, I’ve got nothing and don’t so much enjoy it here. We’ve only stayed because our families are here.

    How are you feeling? Queasy. Tired. Brain fogged 

    Raves / Rants: My kids and I don’t do well trapped in the house together for multiple days lol Snow (really ice) day from school/childcare today. I’m already losing bits of sanity 😂

    Upcoming appointments: So many! Check in and med review with my PCP on 2/23. Phone consult with MFM on 2/27. OBGYN on 3/2. Another MFM check in on 3/6. 

    How are you feeling? So nauseous and so over it. Also perpetually exhausted.

    Raves/Rants: My son has a cold and has passed it on to me. We're both miserable, which is being compounded by neither of us being able to sleep well.

    Questions: None right now!

    GTKY:  What is your favourite part about where you live? Not sure about favourite, but I love that I'm in one of the few parts of the US with decent public transportation.

    Raves/Rants: DH brought home pizza for dinner and it was the first food I actually enjoyed since I started feeling nauseous. Fx that it doesn't upset my stomach later.
