Antivax family member

I’m having the worst day ever! This is my second miscarriage in 5 months and my antivax family member made my situation once again part of her antivax narrative saying that it happened because me and my husband got vaccinated over a year ago with Pfizer😭

It’s getting in my head making me feel guilty that we did something wrong and now we can’t get pregnant. All we wanted was to keep our children safe from this virus not for people to judge us and make our situation a subject to push a narrative while making us feel guilty for it.

I feel horrible and anxious I’m sorry for this post I don’t have anyone to talk to and I don’t really know anyone who personally have been fully vaccinated before pregnancy and boosted whole pregnant who had a successful pregnancy nor no one with adverse side effects either it’s just so frustrating that people can be so cruel.

    That is incredibly cruel of your family to turn this around on you when you need support and love and a chance to grieve your loss. If you feel comfortable I would tell them as much. Regardless of any “reason” for miscarriage, which is normally due to something completely outside of your control such as a chromosomal defect, it is not helpful to blame the person experiencing hardship.

    You did nothing wrong and that family member is an asshole.

    That family member is a piece of work! Honestly I would tell them to F off and they are very rude and cold hearted!

    God that’s awful. For what it’s worth (totally anecdotal, but still), I had two losses years ago before having my two living children. I’m now nearing 33 weeks pregnant with #3 after being vaccinated, boosted in 2021 and boosted again in my first trimester last fall. 

    Losses are so so common and are *usually* random/genetic, or related to clotting or uterine disorders. I’m so sorry you are dealing with this, and personally I would go no contact on this person. There’s zero data to support their claims and hundreds of thousands of doses have been given to pregnant women at this point. 

    I’m so sorry for your losses and I hope you can have your take home baby soon.
