COVID-19 positive - 8 weeks pregnant

Hello,

I’m 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant and I just tested positive for COVID-19. I have body aches, headache, stuffy nose but what I’m most concerned about is the fever - my fever has been hovering around 37.9c. I’m managing with Tylenol but wanted to see if anyone else has tested positive during their first trimester and when I should be worried?

I know I should call my doctor and I will be tomorrow morning for some answers but want to make sure I’m prepared for tonight as my clinic is currently closed

thanks in advance!

  • i had it at 5 weeks, fever up to 100.8 and managed with tylenol. ob just said take tylenol for fever, and they weren't worried. they did not mention paxlovid or any treatment and honestly i wouldn't be interested anyway. tbh it really sucked and i felt terrible and still have lingering symptoms. and i'm a bit worried about the fever, but have heard from others who've had viral illnesses with fever and good outcome, so just trying to take it day by day. i wouldn't be worried about 37.9 at all, just keep an eye on it.

  • Thank you so much 🤍 the fatigue from pregnancy + the COVID is definitely not easy to deal with and does feel horrible to say the least. My doctor said the same thing with Tylenol so I’m just monitoring and taking it as soon as I feel a fever coming.

I hope you’re symptoms are gone soon and you feel better!
  • thank you, same to you!
