Birth Control while Breastfeeding

Hi All! I am exclusively breastfeeding. My period has not yet returned but I got the pill at my post partum check up. Does anyone know if starting it will make my period return? I’d like to hold it off for as long as possible but I currently have 3 under age 3 so definitely want to hold off on more kids for now!!!

I just had my 6 week postpartum appt and asked this exact question! My doctor said that it'll return when it returns, but BC won't have any impact on it
