Did anyone feel sick when their baby dropped?

Hi guys I hope you are well. I was all fine , however as I walked into the shop I lost my breath and needed to sit and my stomach just felt queezy and gassy on top. A few minutes later I noticed my baby dropped further. Is this normal? I am currently resting and feel better just super exhausted. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Re: Did anyone feel sick when their baby dropped?

  • @amina97, I haven’t yet felt my baby drop, so I don’t have much advice. I have read that nausea (along with the baby dropping) can be an early sign of labor. But, I’m sure nausea is a symptom of many other things too. However, the baby can drop 2-4 weeks before delivery for a first pregnancy. Your body could be getting ready, but may remain in its current state for a bit longer, if this is your first. It might be worth contacting your doctor if you are wondering if it’s normal. I have emailed my doctor about a lot of non-emergency issues throughout pregnancy, and she has always helped put my mind at ease. It depends on how responsive your doctor is though.

I hope you get some good rest, continue to feel better, and everything goes smoothly.

  • Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I guess it was just an off day as I feel fine now. All the best with your pregnancy as well :)
  • @amina97 I believe it made me feel off and not well! I noticed the baby drop the other day as she has been super high up and I felt very nauseous and got diarrhea. Felt extra tired and rundown for like 2 days. Maybe a coincidence but I had that too!
