HCG vs Pregnancy Test

I’ve been taking HCG tests throughout my pregnancy and noticed my HCG tests have been getting lighter. At the same time, I just took a pregnancy test and the test line is significantly darker than the control line. 

Any similar experiences and/or insight on how to interpret this?

    I'm not sure what you mean by hcg test... Typically when people say that, there referring to the blood draw, which gives you a number, not a line. If you're taking about urine tests, those do give you a line (or a plus, or word that says "pregnant", etc.). Urine tests also test for hcg, but they're not quantitative - they're either positive or negative, how dark the line is doesn't matter. The blood draw is done at your doctor's, and they can help interpret the results. The number should double about every 2 days of it's a viable pregnancy

    An hcg test… is a pregnancy test… I’m confused.
