First Prenatal Appointment - No Embryo

in 1st Trimester
Hi all! I had my first prenatal appointment this morning. According to my first day of my last period I should be 8 weeks & 1 day. During my ultrasound my dr could not find an embryo. She gave me two possibilities - im earlier than 8 weeks or baby did not develop. Has this happened to anyone and had a positive outcome?

    Unless you were temping and/or using OPKs you do not know exactly when you ovulated.  Its a chance you are earlier than you think.

    I had an ultrasound with an empty gestational sac at first. The original doctor kept telling me it was “blighted ovum” & that my body was tricking me into thinking I was pregnant. I had another ultrasound 2 weeks later with a different doctor & there was a yolk sac! 2 more weeks later, a heartbeat! Give it some time & continue checking.
