It’s part of a complete blood count, which looks for anemia, too, and is most likely why it was done. But if you got an abnormal result, it’s worth talking to your doctor about it. High WBC is usually from things that are pretty benign, like a response to a minor infection like a cold, but it can be something more concerning, and only your doctor can really guide you on any of this.
