3 days spotting

Hi, I’m 12 weeks pregnant and I’ve been spotting for the last 3 days. It’s not continuous; it’s been off and on, most of it in the mornings. The last 3 days the blood was brown in color but this morning it’s more of a reddish-brown. Not bright red but not as dark as it had been the last two days. I talked to my doc yesterday and she had said if I began bleeding heavier or brighter, if I developed a fever or started cramping to go to the ER. None of that has happened, so I haven’t done. She said to just rest and stay hydrated and call on Monday for an appointment. This uncertainty is driving me crazy. Has this happened to anyone else? Based on what I’ve read, if it’s a miscarriage there’s nothing I can do to stop it but I’m really freaked out. I just wish I knew for sure if my baby is ok!

If you have had sex recently it could be you irritated your cervix. Just follow your doctors instructions and that is all you can do. Best wishes.

Yep! Been spotting since 4w4d off and on. 9w0d today. I also had a subchorionic hemmorage at 5w5d and spent 6 hours in the er thinking I had a miscarriage, but the yolk sac and tiny baby was still there after all. I'm considered high risk for now. Next appointment is Monday. Good luck yall! Don't assume the worst.
