Water breaking?

At my 39 week appointment yesterday, my doctor said that if my water breaks I need to go in right away because my GBS test was positive. She said it isn't always a big thing, but can be a little trickle, and now I'm worried I'm going to miss it. For people who have experienced this, was it still pretty obvious what was happening?

    I’ve only had my water break once and it was very obvious. I also had GBS with that pregnancy.

    Mine was a trickle at first.  Felt kind of like starting your period.  Then later in the evening I had bigger gushes, but probably only like 1/4 cup of fluid at a time.  Enough to soak a pad but not enough to overwhelm it.
