    FTM/STM/STM+:
    (First-time mom, second-time mom, etc.)

Will be a first time mom but this is my 2nd pregnancy

    Upcoming appointments:

Follow up beta appointments with fertility specialist (We conceived via IVF)

    How are you feeling:

Amazing, but having no pregnancy symptoms is also a little strange for me. Mainly because I wonder if everything is okay and if I'll ever get them.

    Rants / Raves:

Rant: I HATE that I can't share the news of this pregnancy with my family yet, specifically my mom BUT after our last lost we decided to keep it to ourselves until 12 weeks, and at the minimum our 1st ultrasound. I don't want to wait but I feel like I have to because last time our parents told everyone out of excitement and then we had to share our early loss with all of those people.

Rave: I'm just sooo ecstatic to be carrying me and my husband's 1st child together.

    Questions:

    None for now!

GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Our annual Christmas party and just being with my family!
  • Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: August 24/ 4 weeks

    FTM/STM/STM+:
    (First-time mom, second-time mom, etc.)

    STM+

Upcoming appointments: none yet. I plan to call and get put on progesterone suppositories as soon as possible.

How are you feeling: I’m feeling good. DH and I are super excited. This will be our last baby so I want to savor this pregnancy.

Rants / Raves: I’m currently recovering from the flu. All my kids have been sick and I think I have developed bronchitis. I’m coughing up my lungs and I am just uncomfortable in general.

    Questions: none

GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? We do Christmas themed outings with the kids like ice skating, looking at lights, solstice walk etc. It makes the holidays fun.
  • @sincerelyl I had a loss once and it was after everyone was told. I had people coming up to me asking about the pregnancy for weeks after the loss. It was devastating every single time. We waited awhile when we got pregnant with our rainbow. This time around I told my MIL right away. Mainly for prayers. I don’t want to lose this baby so I’m having her and her church pray for this baby.
  • Hello everyone! I’m jumping in here with you all 😊

Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days:
I’m not entirely sure but somewhere in the last two weeks of august. My LMP was october 29 but I have PCOS. My best guess is I ovulated somewhere around CD 36-38 which puts me 10-12 dpo. My best guess is august 29th but either way I’ll have a scheduled C section the week before.

    FTM/STM/STM+:
    (First-time mom, second-time mom, etc.)
this will hopefully be my 3rd child.

Upcoming appointments: haven’t made one yet, but since I recently moved I have a new patient appointment with an OB in January. If I make it that far I’ll just go to that and go from there.

How are you feeling: TW - previous loss mentioned. I’m cautiously optimistic. This is my 6th pregnancy. I had two losses back to back before my first child was born and I had a chemical pregnancy back in September.

Rants / Raves: rant - I have to go out in the rain today 👎 rave - I have all my Christmas shopping done and wrapped! 👏

Questions: anyone else considered high risk? I’m 35 which I think is an automatic qualifier, but I carry a gene for hemophilia (which I didn’t know until my second child was born with it) so MFM will be consulted.

GTKY: What is your favorite holiday tradition? Eating Little Debbie Christmas tree cakes 😂

  • @sincerelyl I totally understand the fear in sharing too early. I’m sorry to hear you experienced a loss, I’ve been there three times myself. I think whether to share early or not is such an individualized thing based on how private of a person someone is. I do share with a few friends whose (who’s? I can’t never remember lol) support I will need if things don’t go the way I hope. The way I look at it, even if something goes wrong eventually, having the memory of the excitement of sharing the news with a friend, is more of a happy memory than I would have if I don’t say anything at all. But I know not everyone feels that way. Anyway, I am hoping for the best for you!
