Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Our story is a bit complicated. *TW* we got pregnant while I was on depo very soon after getting married and that ended in MC. We went on to conceive a year and a half later in the first month trying when my DH came home from a deployment. My pregnancy was an eventful one with Cholestasis, pre-E, and my heart nearly failing during labor. I had a sustained HR of 208 and was put in the ICU for delivery with a slew of specialists at my side 24/7. I also had an epidural that resulted in a spinal headache and the need for a blood patch. Ultimately though myself and our sweet DS ended up just fine after some time in the NICU and recovery for myself. *end TW* For a year following, we used NFP for birth control as I was no longer able to take any medicinal BC. Ultimately, we decided it was safest for my husband to have a vasectomy with guidance from my doctor. BUT it has now been 4 years since his vasectomy and we have learned he is in the very small percent of men whose vasectomies have late recanalization AKA failure, as I fell pregnant last month. We found ourselves surprisingly overwhelmed with joy and felt that this was a blessing and a sign from God that it was ok to expand our family. *TW* Sadly, our excitement quickly ended when my HCG levels dropped over the week and I experienced another MC. *end TW* So now here we are! A bit confused and unsure of his current fertility but sure that we want more children. It’s a place I never thought we’d be, yet I welcome it! For now we are BDing daily (FW for us!) and saying our prayers for another miracle. Late next week DH will be having a SA that should give us a better understanding of his vasectomy failure. If all is well we will continue on. However, he is military and will leave in January for a period of 7 months with a 3 week reprieve at home in between. So that certainly throws a kink in our plans! If the SA comes back less than we hope for, we will be going through with a vasectomy reversal around September!!
On a different note, I’m a pediatric nurse and absolutely love my job! We have the pleasure of living in Hawaii currently and I am all about anything outdoors!! I also obsess over home decor, cooking/baking, and fitness! Thanks for the welcome! I’m excited to be a part of this group and anxious to see what’s in store for us. This sure has been a whirlwind!
Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.
Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP.
May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy.
July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen.
Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized.
From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.
July 23, Natural FET + baby aspirin. BFN.
