We are all over the place with names. Would love any strong boy name suggestions. We know the middle name will be Christiaan (South African, my wife’s fathers name), but no first name yet. We really liked Declan but some friends got in our heads about that name so reconsidering. Again, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Last name Salzmann.
I like the behind the name website. You can actually look up boy names that are perceived as strong with their filters. You can also filter names by syllables, sounds, meanings, origins, and so many other things. Here's the list of "strong" boys names: https://www.behindthename.com/names/gender/masculine/impression/strong
If you like Declan, you should go with your gut. If you're not set on that name I also think Atlas and Hayes both work well with the middlle and last name
Declan is cool! It’s uncommon but in a good way. My hang up with it, and with Damien and Caden, although I like them all, is that then the first, middle, and last names all end with an n. It doesn’t sound bad when you just say the first and last, but having the n in the middle name also makes it sound very redundant. DeclaN ChristiaaN SalzmanN. I think breaking that up so it’s not so repetitive phonetically would sound nicer. Just my two cents! Another thought it that you seem to like D names or sounds (Declan, Damian, Caden - all also end in N!), which is a strong and masculine letter/sound. Have you thought about Duke? Dax? Drake? Alexander? Burke? Hayes is a good one, too!
