    Team blue/pink/green: finding out 12/15
    Upcoming Appointments: anatomy scan 12/15
How are you feeling?: better now that I'm getting over my cold. I think I felt baby kick for the first time in the shower the other night!  <3
    Rants/Raves:
Rave: DD is loving all things Christmas and it's going to make this season magical!
Rant: I made a casserole with all of my Thanksgiving leftovers and even though it tasted good, I couldn't get past the fact that I literally dumped turkey, stuffing, corn, green beans, gravy, and sour cream into a dish and baked it. All I kept thinking was, "This is what Thanksgiving dinner would look like if I threw it up."  :|
    Questions: nope
GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? We celebrate Christmas and one of my favorite things to do every year is drive through a huge light display at the county fairgrounds down the street. I can already hear DD saying, "Wow, look at that!"  <3

How are you feeling?: Great! We did our announcement on Facebook just before Thanksgiving, so it feels good ot have that out there.
Rants/Raves: My youngest is having surgery tomorrow to repair a birth defect and I'm freaking the fuck out. The surgery isn't particularly complicated, but I hate the idea of him being under anesthesia for 3 hours.
    Questions:
GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? Oh man I love the holidays, especially because I love traditions. Our tree is up (goes up the day after Thanksgiving) and the matching Christmas sheets are on their beds and the matching Christmas jammies are out and the Christmas books are out and under the tree. The elf comes December 1 (gotta find that little bastard ...). I just really love everything about the Christmas season.

How are you feeling?: Tired. Had the hardest time falling asleep last night. Over the weekend, I also woke up awful headaches. I am usually better at drinking water while at work, harder for me at home, not sure why. So hoping it was dehydration headaches. It felt like I was hungover, which I was obviously not!
Rants/Raves: Rave, we had some warmer weather this weekend so spent time outside and went to the zoo Saturday, we had a lot of family time. Rant, I am back at work haha.
@hestia-is-wearie reading your rant made me want to throw up  :D but sour cream is disgusting to me, so that is why!
@BourbonBiscuits good luck to your little guy, keep us posted!
    Questions:
GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? We do. I love the season so much. A bit different this year for us since we are flying out to Phoenix to see the in-laws the week of Christmas. I have a December birthday so the past few years we've gone to the bigger zoo and done the drive thru lights and did pizza for dinner in the truck. We also do the walk thru lights at our local zoo. We're doing the Phoenix zoo lights while we are there, we're big zoo people apparently! We just started doing the elf this year. With DS only being 3 and COVID the last two Christmases, I feel like it's been hard to do traditions as a small family unit, so looking forward to somewhat starting those this year!

How are you feeling?: good! Still not sleeping well the second half of the night, but otherwise basically normal
Rants/Raves: I got to have my favorite sandwich of the year on Friday, the thanksgiving leftover sandwich!
    Questions: none
GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? We celebrate Christmas. I love putting up the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. I make overnight cinnamon rolls to have on Christmas morning. The past 5 or so years I’ve made homemade eggnog in September that ages all fall in the fridge. It is so potent, but SO delicious. I’m bummed my husband and family get to drink it all this year!

    Team blue/pink/green: finding out 12/19!
Upcoming Appointments: Friday! I’m so anxious to hear this baby again.
How are you feeling?: pretty good. I’ve been getting random dizzy spells, but they pass quickly. I think I’m feeling movement occasionally- my fave part of pregnancy.
Rants/Raves: I almost had a fight in my class today and it’s left me so unsettled all day!
    Questions: none now
GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? Yes, Christmas, and it’s my favorite time of year! We put our Christmas tree up the day after thanksgiving and I just love how the house looks. My favorite tradition is the paper chain- we make a chain of red and green strips with a Christmas event or activity on each one, then take one off each day. I love how excited he gets, and he’s reading this year, so it’ll be extra fun!
  • @hestia-is-wearie That casserole makes me want to throw up a little, haha.
@BourbonBiscuits I hope the surgery went well!
@gingermama46 Hope the headache is better!
@courtney701 Overnight cinnamon rolls are a great idea!
@ashleyp625 Yikes, the fight definitely sounds a little scary.

How are you feeling?: Still not great. The vomiting is better but I still feel ill after I eat and everything tastes terrible.
Rants/Raves: My poor DD is so disappointed that this baby is a boy and that the new cousin she will be getting this spring is also a boy. We're trying to convince her that being queen of a band of boys isn't such a bad thing. 🙃
    Questions: Not today
GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? Yes! I love Christmas and making holiday traditions. We always do advent, make cookies, get new jammies on Christmas Eve, all that fun stuff.
  • @BourbonBiscuits I hope everything with the surgery went smoothly! It’s hard not to get nervous about that sort of thing.

How are you feeling?: better all the time, still with bouts of nausea though
Rants/Raves: 3 y/o was sick for Thanksgiving, so was everyone else’s kids, so multiple friendsgivings last week were cancelled. 😭
    Questions: none
GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? I have some friends from college that my husband and I FaceTime once a year and we all bake our Christmas cookies together. (We used to meet up in person but now live multiple states away.) We started doing this in college—about fifteen (!) years ago. I’ve perfected mailing cookies now. (And making them vegan, because our friends have been vegan for a while.)
  • Love reading all your weekly logs. This is my only source of “social media” so I enjoy connecting just by reading and interacting with fellow close expecting women even from afar.

How are you feeling?: had more good days since I finally got my prescription, so I can finally eat a bit more. Dr told me to consume some caffeine for my headaches and it’s done the trick. I haven’t had any  caffeine in about 2 years 😱 very grateful for symptoms on the better side.

Rants/Raves: im high risk, my last full term pregnancy resulted me on bed rest at 16w (20w on my first) So we came into todays appointment expecting to go on bed rest. I was so excited that my cervix is over 4cm in length and closed! 😭😭😭 happy tears! Anything under 3cm results in bed rest.

Questions: Is it weird to have the genital ultrasound picture printed? My first 2 full term were girls and I never got a genital picture. This time we have a boy and I felt a little odd to have the picture. I’m curious if it’s normal to have it printed. Feel like it’s a silly question. My last anatomy scan was done over 6 years ago so I feel like this is all new again.

GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? Yes. Typically after thanksgiving all the things go up. But my husband is working the night shift and is my muscles since I was told to lighten my activities. So tradition is only slightly delayed. Love doing elf on the shelf and getting everyone new pajamas. Baking is the best. We live in a court so we have like 4 neighbors so I usually make many different treats and put in a big ol cake box and deliver 1 to each neighbor. The first year our house was the only one that did it. But the next year a few neighbors joined in. Which warmed my heart, I didn’t expect them to do the same.
  • @Colombo3 My first was a girl and they printed the genital ultrasound for us: it was captioned "it's a girl" right next to a VERY clear picture of her uterus and ovaries  :D It was a little odd walking around with a picture of her private parts, but it was a nice way to teach my in-laws about how doctors determine the sex on an ultrasound--MIL never had an ultrasound with her kids.

How are you feeling?: I’m feeling better energy wise. Starting to get lower back pain, so I have been doing prenatal yoga at home. I’ve been struggling with my mental health (went off of anxiety & depression meds at the beginning of pregnancy - the withdrawals, combined with pregnancy hormones have made it rough.) I talked to my ob gyn & psychiatrist and they are putting me back on meds that are lower risk to the baby. I’m feeling relieved to receive the help I definitely needed! Also got a referral for a new therapist. Yay!
Rants/Raves: my job is giving us every Friday off in December! So excited for 3 day weekends for the month!!!
    Questions: not right now!
GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? We celebrate Christmas- I love making a full English breakfast every Boxing Day for our family. It’s something I’ve done for the past 7 or so years and everyone in the family loves the post-Christmas decadent breakfast!

How are you feeling?: Pretty good. This is the first week where I'm feeling constricted with my belly. It's big and hard enough that I can't squish it or sit weird anymore!
Rants/Raves: The mountains of CO are getting so much early snow this season and I'm so sad I'm missing it 😭
    Questions: none
GTKY: Do you celebrate the holiday season? If so, what is your favorite holiday tradition? Yes! My birthday is today (Dec 2) and I love Christmas so December is my favorite month of the year. We have many traditions but I'd say my favorites are baking cookies for our family, friends and neighbors, our annual Christmas party, and successfully divvying the holiday up between our families to see everyone Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
