Weekly Randoms Nov 21st

The countdown is getting real!  Put your miscellaneous thoughts and questions here for the week.

GTKY:. Since it's US Thanksgiving this week (I know many of you had Thanksgiving a month ago),  what is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

Re: Weekly Randoms Nov 21st

  • I'm one of the ones that had Thanksgiving a month ago but I'm kinda jealous that yours is still coming up.  Haha.  I love ALL the dishes but my most favourite is stuffing.  We'll have it at Christmas too which really isn't too far away.  Eep.

I think baby has dropped a bit since I've been able to breath a little better the last few days.  I still feel big and cumbersome but the breathing is better so I'll take it!  Is it normal for baby to start dropping around 31w?

  • I have my 32w appointment today and they might offer me the chance to go ahead and schedule my induction, so I just got off a lengthy phone call with my husband where we discussed all the pros and cons of various dates...almost completely revolving around football :D I'm a football fanatic (addict?) and would probably be less stressed through labor if I could just watch games all day, haha...depending on how my own team does, of course ;)

Bring on all the Thanksgiving dishes. It's so hard to choose! But if I had to pick my top three (which is not what you're asking), I'd probably say sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and mashed potatoes...

Now I'm hungry and have to go grab my lunch!
  • @L1C4gal my doctor also offered to schedule my RCS or induction at 39w at my 32 wk appt last week 😭. Idk why I was completely caught off guard and asked if I could wait until my next appt.

I'm with the other gals - basically bring on all the side dishes. My top 3 are mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and sweet potatoes. I realize this is actually the same answer that @L1C4gal gave, but mine are in a different order haha.
  • So excited for thanksgiving this week! I love baking and I get to break out my notepad and create a baking schedule. I’m making 4 desserts (for multiple dinners we’re attending through the weekend). I’m glad @L1C4gal started a top 3 trend because I can’t choose just one! My top are mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce.

I finally caved and bought a body pillow. I haven’t needed one until now but the last two nights have been rough on my back and I realize I need more support as belly gets bigger.
  • Haha a top three is probably for the best, pies, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole (a fancified version).
It's only Monday but I am so ready for a short week, though I do have 3 pies to bake Wednesday.
  • I couldn’t imagine having thanksgiving so close to Christmas lol but I always make an amazing sweet potato casserole!

these past few days have been tough and I feel like this week will be similar. I am just beyond exhausted and my toddler is going through a pushing boundaries phase and it’s soooo draining! I also had a super scary syncope episode today (low blood pressure and passed out) I know I need to rest more but there just isn’t time my life is crazy busy … I am definitely feeling a little anxious that I don’t have my baby bag packed so the next time I have ANY energy that’s what I’ll be doing!
  • I’m here to rant about feeling like a balloon on the day before thanksgiving! My belly is feeling super stretched. Baby is really high up so I’ve been having stomach cramps likely from the pressure she’s putting on it. 😅 Still very grateful 😆. Hoping tomorrow is a little bit better so I can enjoy some of my favorite foods!
