Natural Birth or Epidural

This being my first pregnancy, I have heard lots of moms say they wished they did a natural birth with their first child. I am torn as to what I want to do. I am going to going to the hospital regardless, just for safety of the baby and myself. But I think I can do a natural birth. Just don't know the steps to take or if I for sure want that. Any other moms having this dilemma?
