An early transvaginal ultrasound was done this morning.

Google it. It’s possible to see a gestational sac at 3 weeks 1 day pregnant
Do you mean 3 weeks 1 day from ovulation or is this counting in the standard way from last menstrual period? When people say they are 6 weeks pregnant, it’s counted from their LMP, so you’d be about 5w 1d pregnant, which is still early and doesn’t explain your -1 hcg.

  • @gbaby2015 sounds like either you’re confused or you’re further along than you think. Everything on Google says gestational sac forms at 4-5 weeks at the earliest. Seems odd that you’d have a visible GS earlier than most people can even get a BFP. Also, your first and last name is visible on your picture.

  • @gbaby2015 why was a transvaginal ultrasound done before even having a positive HPT??

Are you sure that's not a cyst or something?

You're not considered pregnant unless your HCG is >5

  • hiii! brand new mama to be :) honestly, i used dollar store pregnancy tests because with the research i did, all pregnancy tests detect the same hormone: hcg, so lots of L&D nurses have advised to not spend so much $$$ on brand name tests because they all do the same thing: detect hcg. so i was 1 day late from my period, decided to take a test just to see-i had no expectations or anything, i thought it would just be negative and i’d get my period tomorrow. i bought 3 dollar store “veriquick” tests, tried it out at 10 pm, and got a very faint second line. i didn’t think much on it and just figured i’d take a second one in the morning. i woke up the next morning at 11 am, took the test with first urine of the day, it the second line was darker, so yay, positive! about 4-5 days later, i decided to take 1 more just to be sure and the line was definitely as clear as day. yay to all the mamas to be!

i was wondering i took a pregnancy test and there was a faint line like a really faint one I'm testing kind early but the test i bought says you can test up to 5 days early I've been feeling like throwing up for the past two days do you think that a faint line means positive I'm definitely going to test in a few days again

You have a day-stealer! Your test line is so much darker than the other line.Maybe your having twins! 🤗
  • My recommendation is just go digital so there's no fuss with seeing faint lines, one, two or none. It's much easier. It's PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT.
  • @waterbby23 it’s runny because the dye only stays readable for a certain amount of time. That’s why you’re only supposed to read it within like 10 minutes. Congrats you’re pregnant.

  • You are pregnant, you are outside of the read time.  No need to go to urgent care for a positive pregnancy test.
  • @waterbby23 ??? Why would you go to urgent care for a positive pregnancy test?
  • @AmandaNacora I would retest in a few days.
  • @ejoesph16 thanks I plan too. I was just so thrown off by how off center it was!
  • Well I took another frer this evening and stark white bfn. Guess it was a indent or something.
  • Was this positive? I’m currently in the same situation with a similar test result one day before AF due, about 12-13DPO

8 days late. Faint line. I edited the photo to see if it would make it easier for me to see whether there was a 2nd line or not. Still not really sure if it's positive. When should I test again?
  • @cloud1229 are you testing first thing in the morning when your urine is most concentrated? If not, try doing that. Otherwise, most people on here seem to suggest waiting a few days before testing again and then calling your doctor if you still haven't gotten a positive test/your period after 60 days.

Also, I know for me at least, digital tests were easier to read since it just says 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant'
  • I'd wait another week and test again.

I always use the digital clear blue. It just says pregnant. Lol. It’s easy and takes away the guessing aspect. I’m an overthinker and I know I will overthink everything. It’s hard to disagree with “pregnant”. Period. I wish I could figure out how to post a picture lol
  • I bought "early detection pregnancy test" from Amazon. I was very afraid of using it. I read the instructions several times, but I couldn't get a clear picture of how it worked. I tried to get some info from internet, but the information wasn't clear, either. I did try to do it, but nothing happened. I was very disappointed, and I put the test in the drawer. A few days later, I picked it up and re-read the instructions again, and I noticed one thing I didn't notice the first time. It said: "do not wait for more than three minutes, the result is not accurate". I thought that the result can not be accurate if I don't wait for three minutes. So I decided to try it again. I used the toilet to pee, then washed my hands. I took the test and walked to the nearest seat. I sat there for one minute, and then I looked at it. A pink line appeared. I couldn't believe it, I was so excited! My husband and I are going to have a baby! I took a picture with my husband and sent it to my mom.
  • @jamied41 if you only saw one pink line you aren’t pregnant. There needs to be two lines for a positive pregnancy test. Perhaps you might scroll up a bit on this thread you posted on and see what a positive pregnancy test looks like since the instructions seemed to confuse you

  • I only use dollar store test and they were positive a week before my period was due so I love them.1$
  • Hi @lilmammakm, there's only one line which means that you're not pregnant or you're testing too early and there's not enough HCG in your urine for the test to detect the pregnancy
  • b_1029b_1029 member
@lilmammakm I see a veryyyyy faint line, I’d wait several days and try again.
  • We could chat on WhatsApp or Facebook
  • That’s nice 🙂
  • Faint positive is a positive, right?!
  • I had a faint second line before, and it was a baby.
  • It didn't look like this, so I didn't really believe it, but I went to the doctor to be sure, and found out I was pregnant. The second line was so faint. All of my friends got a bright second line like this, but I think faint positive is positive. I would say go to the doctor to be certain.
  • A positive pregnancy test typically indicates the presence of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in a woman's body, which is produced during pregnancy. Here's how you can identify a positive pregnancy test:

    1. Two Lines: Most standard pregnancy tests have two lines as the indicator of a positive result. One line is the control line, which confirms that the test is working correctly. The second line is the test line, and its appearance, no matter how faint, generally indicates a positive result. Even a faint line suggests the presence of hCG.

    2. Color Intensity: The color intensity of the test line doesn't necessarily determine whether the result is positive or not. Even a light-colored line indicates a positive result. The test line might be faint due to the early stage of pregnancy or a lower concentration of hCG in the urine.

    3. Read Instructions: It's crucial to read and follow the instructions that come with the pregnancy test kit. Different manufacturers might have variations in how their tests work or how the results are displayed.

    4. Wait Time: Pregnancy test results should be read within the specified timeframe mentioned in the instructions. Waiting too long or reading the result after the recommended time could lead to inaccurate interpretations.

    5. Digital Tests: Some pregnancy tests are digital and clearly display "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" on the screen, leaving no room for interpretation.

    6. Confirming with a Doctor: If you receive a positive result, it's a good idea to confirm the pregnancy with a healthcare professional. They can perform further tests, such as blood tests and ultrasounds, to confirm the pregnancy and estimate its duration.

Remember that the accuracy of a pregnancy test result can vary depending on factors such as the timing of the test, the concentration of hCG in your body, and the sensitivity of the test itself. If you're unsure about the result, it's best to consult a healthcare provider for confirmation and guidance.

  • The new dollar store test I feel aren't as good the line is barely noticeable but on a first response it's dark and there
  • I took two dollar tree test and then got a first response test they didn’t even take an full minute to come out positive.

I took ALLL the tests! These were the day before my missed period. Buuuuut it won’t let me upload a photo.
  • Shouldnt it just have 2 lines and it's positive?

  • When you're so pregnant at 7 weeks that the pregnant line shows up way before the first line.
