Brought to you by a cat that keeps trying to escape to get KU again that we can't get spayed yet because she is still in milk from her last set of kittens who keep trying to pee in our 1yr olds crib. 🤬🤬

@nopegoat our cats have been complete a-holes lately too. I love them but they’re driving us crazy right now. They get separation anxiety so since we’ve barely been home lately because of work they’ve been extra bad - barfing on our pillows, knocking everything off the tables, crying all night outside our door, chewing wires - just so destructive and out of character.
Unpopular opinion - nothing should ever be scheduled before noon. I hate getting up in the morning and I thrive as a night owl. I’d much rather have a Dr Appt at 11pm than at 11am.
@disneybaby23 yea we are not fans. She is usually an inside/outside, mostly outside cat which isn't terrible but now that she's inside 24/7 it's unbearable how obnoxious they are.
@Wishilivedinflorida, Diesel says he may be a lot of things but smelly isn't one of them... 🤣😂🤣

@disneybaby23 Alternative unpopular opinion - nothing should ever be scheduled after 3pm. I normally get up pretty early for work (4-5am depending on the day/schedule) and will do early meetings every day if necessary, but I cannot put on a happy teamwork face after 3-4pm. My husband is a night owl and this has actually worked out really well for splitting parenting responsibilities.
Looking at my SIL’s instagram reel and seeing for the thousandth time her declare the “audacity” or the “crime” of those who mark book pages by folding the corner:
I don’t give a fuck. If it’s my book, and I don’t have a scrap of paper handy, I will crease that corner to mark my page.
@heytallmama Oh, that's nothing (IMO) compared to the people who go to great lengths to avoid cracking the spine of paperbacks. Because heaven forbid you have books with unsightly, tacky cracked spines on your bookshelf. If you ever borrow a book from a friend, do yourself a favor and make sure you know if they're anti-crack beforehand.
Though that's odd that your SIL would frequently rant about that and make it part of her personal "brand." Unless she's a bookseller?
@heytallmama i personally can’t fold over a corner but I don’t care if someone else does. It wouldn’t even stop me from lending it if I knew that would happen. Now if someone was gonna rip the book… that’s pure evil. 😂
Mine is i really don’t like “spice” in books. I really don’t want to read all that in a story, it takes away from the actual plot and character development in my opinion.
@missmuisq she definitely fancies herself a book critic. Has a whole second instagram account to post when she’s read a new book at her thoughts on it— and then cross posts to her personal account which is how see it. And no, she’s not like…am influencer or anything. (She’s also kind of a bitch so I’m feeling petty.)
@TortugaAzul I am hit or miss - I went through a spicy book faze earlier this summer- tore through like 8 books in 2 weeks 😂
@firecracker_mama I use the fan as a noise cover cause I can't go if I think someone can hear me 😅
@missmuisq oh my gosh the spine cracking controversy is so insane! When I saw it raging on TikTok and people kept insisting "it should be common sense not to crack the spines of the books!" and I had never even heard of cracking spines before that (and I am a huge bookworm), so I googled "how to not crack the spine of a book". All these videos came up showing how you have to open the front cover and back cover in certain order and then open the first 100 pages then the last 100 pages and all this stuff. And I just sat there thinking "you just expect people to know to do this automatically?!"
Ladybug - April 2013 Dandelion - October 2018 Angel "Aurora" - July 2020 Angel "Sawyer" - May 2021 Angel "Maxine" - January 2022 Angel "Violet" - March 2022 Baby Dove due March 2023
@mytrueloves are these people even reading the books? All my favorites have such cracked spines you can barely read what they say anymore. All I can think of is this scene in white lotus on HBO where these young girls keep bringing new books to the pool every day so people will see them reading them but they don’t actually read them.
Late to the game, but I'm Team no dog. Hard to train, stubborn, they take too much time and hinder travel. Fiance and I have agreed that we will not be replacing any animal of the canine variery that passes in our house.
If my daughter wants another animal, shes getting a rat. Average lifespan is two years. Gosh I sound cold-hearted lol I do love our current pets but they exhaust the hell out of me.
