Clot or miscarriage

Missed my cycle and faint line on pregnancy test. Went to Er they say I am not pregnant. They did a cat scan with contrast to check out other things. Waited a week still no cycle took 3 more pregnancy test same faint visible results. Went back to same ER and they say I am not pregnant still. I have 3 kids and always missed cycles with them and never had bleeding or spotting. Twins run in my family which made me think it may have been or maybe. But upon wiping, spotting and bleeding I had this come out and don’t know what it is a clot or miscarriage. Please help.

1st, ER is the worst place to get OB advice for pregnancy.

Now would be a great time to call your regular doctor, tell them what is going on. The clot and spotting could have been your period. Periods can be odd.

If the did a CT scan, they would have been able to identify a fetus, and doctors would not do a CT scan if they suspect pregnancy.

This would be a great thing to follow up w/ even just your primary care doctor.

Ya know the ER is for emergencies right? Why are you not consulting with an OBGYN?

When I get a positive HPT, I call my midwifery and make an appointment. Sometimes I’ve waited weeks between getting the positive and setting up an appointment. It’s never occurred to me to go the ER for that. A positive HPT is not an emergency, even with spotting or clots. If you’re hemorrhaging, sure. If you don’t have a regular doctor, Google OB practices in your area or ask your friends for recommendations. If you have insurance, make sure the practice is in network and then set up an appointment.
