The worst thing happened today (disclaimer: hyperbole). We had an air freshener in the bathroom that wasn’t even plugged in but the smell was so strong I couldn’t take it. I threw it away. In the process the oil got on my hands and now I can’t get it off!

@catem07 ughhhhh that really is the worst! The other day, my high school students were spraying perfume and while telling them to put it away, I walked right through the big cloud of it 🤦🏻♀️ Smelled like it all day…
Blech to all of the above. My hands smelled like the teriyaki noodles I ate for lunch all day yesterday
My house has become Pumpkin Central. I experimented with growing pie pumpkins this summer and I managed to produce 7 of them in my caged-in garden bed. I cut one open and roasted it this weekend thinking I'd start freezing puree to make pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving. Well...you only need 15 ounces of puree to make one pumpkin pie, but as I learned this weekend, one pie pumpkin makes about 48 ounces of puree. Multiply that by 7 and...

Time to go look up some pumpkin recipes.
Hahaha I just laughed out loud thinking about all that pumpkin. Enjoy 🤣
@cait32 I LITERALLY just said this to my husband. I said I am feeling so starving that my mouth won’t stop watering but at the same time nothing sounds good at all!!! Only thing I ate for dinner was bagel chips…. Ugh. Unisom helps me to sleep sooo much. I haven’t tried taking B6 but maybe I should get some
@gingermama46 I think a jar of puree can survive a trip across two counties! We still need to have a meetup with our July 19 kiddos! DH and I are out your way every now and then because his family lives somewhat nearby. His grandmother used to live in Bath.
Just had my intake and first ultrasound. Didn’t have to do transvaginal, thankfully, and I didn’t need an exam. All looks good—fetus is measuring 4 days smaller than I am by ovulation date. Heart beat was in the 140s. I got my paperwork for my NIPT, which they recommend getting around 11 weeks. Next appt is scheduled for just before 12 weeks.

Add me to the successful appointment club today. The doctor told me that people who spot typically spot all the way through the second tri, so yay. She showed me where the blood was coming from on the U/S, and said it’s from the mixture of my blood and the forming placenta. She also said though that once a heartbeat is detected, the chance of MC is only 3%, so that was actually very comforting. It was very reassuring to see all the wiggling going on in there- and we got a pic where it looks like baby is sucking their thumb
@cait32 Aw I’m sorry! I don’t think it makes you an asshole. It’s okay to have a preference. I know I was relieved when our second was a girl because I never had a sister and wanted my daughter to have one.
You’ve got some time to be in your feelings and by the time the baby is born you’ll love him just as much as you would a girl. (Which I know you know!)

My friend just found out she is having a boy and not a girl like they thought at her anatomy scan so it is very possible it could be wrong. That's why I'm not a fan of the early tests.
Such a typical prego day- went out to eat with DH, watched him drink a large margarita while I had some soda (very few times so I drink soda out of the year), had a great Mexican dinner. Drive home only to puke it all up just before we made it home. And next day I’m eating the leftovers I brought home and it’s delicious!
@cait32 ugh I'm sorry friend - don't feel like an asshole. Part of the reason I want to do sneak peek is because I know I'll be bummed if this is another boy. I want my daughter to have a sister too! I don't want to have that gender disappointment publicly at my AS.

@ashleyp625 one of my 5th graders was drenched in warm vanilla hand sanitizer yesterday and it made me so nauseous.
