We have a Parker Baby backpack style diaper bag.

I have a 2020 baby so I didn’t really use it much in his first year of life but I’ve liked it. It’s big but not bulky. There’s a clip that will hold your keys so they don’t get lost in the bag. Insulated side pockets for milk and snacks-though they are an awkward size and didn’t fit our bottles very well-we could only fit one bottle on each side. It comes with a changing pad which is nice because public changing tables are 🤢 . I actually still use the bag a lot even now that my son is potty trained for extra clothes, undies, and portable seat reducer. I’m also from Colorado and love that it’s a CO based brand. I think my husband just wishes it was a different/more “masculine” color but I use it the most so the color doesn’t bother me. We will continue to use it for this baby so I haven’t really looked much at what’s on the market now.

We have the Freshly Picked & a Mina Baie bag. I personally prefer the Mina Baie. I found the Freshly Picked bag to be WAY too big and bulky. I felt like I had to have tons of little bags inside of it, otherwise I could never find anything. I like the Mina Baie bag because it looks more like a purse than a diaper bag, the leather is really nice and it has straps for long shoulder strap, short shoulder strap & backpack straps. I definitely used that one WAY more. I did bring along the FP when we would do trips/vacations in the car though. I also have a tote savvy insert and that was nice when we were going to dinner, etc and I needed my stuff along with the baby! My son is now 26 months and we basically just throw a pouch of what he may need in my purse whenever we go anywhere!
  • With my first I had a few different ones, mainly used at Kate Spade Diaper bag, then I discovered the Lands End bags, and that is what I have used ever since. Great size, fit everything we need. We utilized an external bottle bag (bc those get stinky & need replacing after a while from spilled/sour milk!) We still use one now with my 6 & 3 year olds when we go out to dinner, go out for a long day etc, to hold changes of clothes, snacks, toys etc.

  • Following along because I have no clue what to do. I’ve never found a diaper bag I liked, currently I just use a Baggu tote with a pouch for diapers/pad/wipes plus snacks and maybe a change of clothes, but babies need so much more stuff.

I did buy a Dagne Dover diaper backpack a long time ago, but backpacks don’t agree with me so I barely used it. Maybe I’ll pull it out of storage. I think I lost the straps that attaches it to the stroller handle though. Ugh I hate diaper bag shopping.

Anyway, here’s the one I have (and never use):

    DD born 4/1/2023

  • I have a backpack style diaper bag https://eloiseandlolo.com/collections/diaper-backpacks/products/city-2?variant=13304252530711
I like it, but will probably look for something different for baby #2. I really like the backpack style diaper bags, I need to have my arms free and don't want to be lugging a bag on my arms like a purse.
This bag worked ok for 1 kid but if we were going to be out all day it definitely got a bit "crowded" in the bag! I usually use disposable diapers on the go but would like to use more cloth when we are out--this bag isn't great for cloth diapering bc I feel like it wasn't big enough to fit a couple cloth diapers along with everything else we needed for the day.

When DD was super little I had a skip hop diaper bag that went over the shoulder:

Skip Hop Diaper Bag: Iconic Duo Signature Function Forward Tote with Changing Pad & Stroller Attachement, Grey Melange https://a.co/d/hIHTULj

Then when she got a little bigger, I started using this backpack:

Diaper Bag Backpack, RUVALINO Multifunction Travel Back Pack Maternity Baby Changing Bags, Large Capacity, Waterproof and Stylish, Gray https://a.co/d/hdat69L

This time around I may go for a little fancier, leather diaper bag that looks more like a purse. TBD! 😊
  • I use a Lily Jade diaper bag hubby got me as a combo birthday/ first mother's day gift.  They are pricey!  I do love it, though, and use it every day.  It's huge and bulky, but fits everything for 2 kids and my stuff.

I will say, their current styles actually look more user friendly.  My bag is less structured and falls in on itself unless it's packed just so, which I don't love.
  • I'm a lover of most things Vera Bradley. Still have the diaper bag from my first when he was really young, the backpack I used once he was mobile in public/potty training and the cross body bags once he only needed wipes/snacks/toys. Unless my husband wants a more "manly" style bag, I think we're sticking with the decade old ones.
