@hullabalou Absolutely! @triplejplus1 I just finished a YA book called "This Is Where It Ends". Was a great, fast read. TW It deals with a school shooting, and you get the perspective of different people. It all takes place in the span of 54minutes. END TW.
@LivingTheDream I like anything from a good romance book (such as Nicholas sparks) to a good mystery. Anything really. I stumbled on a series by Linda Castillo which are all about murder in Amish country and they have all been very good! A few were a little unsettling but well written. I am about to finish the last one and then I will need to find something else! I was also a sucker for the hunger games
I'm able to access TB pretty frequently during the day so I don't mind leading it. The last BMB did a monthly thread for suggestions, then a poll to decide on the next month's book and a discussion was posted the first week of the month.
It's still early enough in Aug. to get a book read by Sept. I think, so we could have the first discussion thread start the first week of Sept.?
@triplejplus1 if you want, edit the thread title here to "book club suggestions" or something similar and we could just use this as the suggestion thread for Sept.'s book and I can start a clicky poll later this week to vote on the book?
I know I saw The Nightingale recommended a lot on the last book thread we had, I actually have it on hold at the library to pick up. Not sure how many have already read it though.
@triplejplus1 if you like murder mysteries the Dublin Murder Squad series is GREAT. The author is Tana French and the first book is In the Woods. I've devoured every one! I'll think on more recs.
@TennisLove30 The Glass Castle is SO good. I had to remind myself it's a memoir - her childhood was wild.
Just wanted to bump this-if you want to add a suggestion, comment it here. I will post the poll later today or tomorrow and leave it open through Friday if that works for everyone?
Re: Book Club Suggestions
Following for ideas.
My last BMB did a monthly book club-any interest in that here?

So far what I see mentioned more than once:
The Nightingale
The Bronze Horseman
The Glass Castle
I'm considering any options, especially since now I have enough time for this.
