Hi! My husband loves the name Virginia after his grandmother. I want to support his decision, but I don’t imagine calling our daughter that but love it for a formal name if she’s like to use it as an adult.
I would love to also have a nickname for her, but am not fond of the typical nn that go with it.
I love Winnie - I know this is technically not connected to Virginia. Is this too far of a stretch? Thank you!
I agree that's not a traditional nickname for Virginia, but it's cute and lots of people have nicknames that have no direct association to their legal name
Winnie is a little bit of a stretch but you can make it work. Other options: Ginny, Vivi, Gigi, Vi, Gia, Nina, Gina. My niece is named Olivia, but everyone calls her Vee or Via.
