Scares with bleeding

Today I went to the ER because I had one small spot when I went to pee when I wiped. This is my first pregnancy and it’s scary. I don’t know if im mildly cramping because im nervous . I did end up leaving against medical advice as I felt I was mentally drained from waiting and not getting help. Did I do wrong?

    Were you seen by a doctor, or did you leave before being seen at all? 

    Spotting in early pregnancy can be totally normal, but it could also mean something is wrong. I spotted and bled on and off through the whole first trimester last pregnancy, it turned out totally fine, the rest of the pregnancy was textbook normal. But, I’ve also had a miscarriage that started with spotting. It really is impossible to say without having blood work or an ultrasound done. 

    I wouldn’t go to the ER unless you have major pain along with the spotting, but call your ob if you’re worried. I’m sorry, it’s hard to see blood during pregnancy!
