Interesting that my OB list has monistat as the “preferred” agent to treat a YI. If a “natural remedy” worked, they would have said so. Please call your doctor.
You definitely want your doctors advice here while you’re pregnant. You need something that will actually clear it up and not just mask symptoms.
That being said, I get YI’s externally near my clitoris before my period and use coconut oil. Between that and starting my period, it *usually* clears up on its own. But not always and I have a cream from my doctor to use as back up.
I know boric acid is NOT recommended. So don't try that. I think it can cause uterine contractions.
Best bet is to call your doctor and GO IN to verify it's truly a YI. A lot of the meds can be contraindicated first trimester, so you want to have a good discussion with your doctor about risks and benefits.
